My Acer Nitro 5 (An515-57) has been having a lot of issues lately, few months ago the motherboard died needing a very hefty replacement. Just recently the laptop has bricked itself again, I suspect its the replaced motherboard but what do I know… Anyways please, please, any suggestions for a gaming laptop for around $2000. This is my first forum posts so forgive me if I've made the accidental cardinal Ozbargain sin.

thank you
You need to be aware that a common issue with the Metabox or Clevo-based laptops is some keys in the keyboard will stop working after some time probably because of the surface heat. Other people also complained about the noise.
Legion 5 was the most recommended in the $2000 range.
I did end up doing some research on Metabox, really good deals but it looks like they do skimp out on build quality… That'll have to be a pass for me.
@AsianInvAsian: I don't believe so. Whilst yes, there are some issues at times, any device can have that. In the 5 or so Metabox machines I've bought for work and family, the only issue I had is 1 or 2 keys not working correctly but my machine was 4 years old and used daily.

I had this but mine was 4 years old. Still a good machine though.
@geekcohen: I see, looking at reviews there does seem to be complaints about customer service but I'll have a better look at it.
@AsianInvAsian: Never really had to contact their customer service, so I cannot comment on that.
