Hi guys, anyone with any suggestions for digital photo frames? I could consider something like the Google Nest Hub but a limitation is that it can only display photos in landscape form..

Just repurpose an old computer monitor, stick a Google Chromecast into the back of it and have it display your Google Photos.

The bargain-bin digital photo frames on eBay will be made with the lowest-end TN displays with the narrowest of viewing angles. If you do want a good one, Lenovo makes digital smart frames but they cost about as much as 4 Google Nest Hubs nowadays.
I am really impressed to see the cable included in two of the promo pictures. Makes it far more realistic to consider in a room.
Use nest hub (partly) for this purpose
When there are portrait photos it will display two of them side by side.

I have the 32" in my wife's study. Perfect mix of digital frame and tv.
You can only really buy it online though as this size is not available in stores. Also, the 32 inch bezels are a pain to find locally and not much colour range. I had to import the white bezels so that it blends in perfectly with the wall. It was not cheap either ($150+) but there are quite a few colours available off Amazon.
Should add purpose is to put on a desk.

I did some research on this before.
After lots of reading, I learned wide viewing angles are especially important for digital picture frames.And the model with the best viewing angles was NetGear Meural. Currently the small $399 model is sold out on Amazon AU.
Keep in mind I decided the Meural was the best for me purely based on the great viewing angles. I wanted to see the image most of the time and that was most important to me.
So do your own research if I remember right the "App" and uploading function of the Meural was not the best reviewed. It works, just not as easy as pie.I bought an Amazon Echo Show 8 to use as a digital photo frame and it works great. Fantastic screen for the price.
