this printer is $199 at dickys in the shopping centre, and $199 at afew other stores too ..big w etc
so a deal for the darwinites as they are few and far between for us lcally…

I am sure this printer's replacement ink wud be cheaper than the dell's.
Very good printer. Worth the price I think. Neat feature to be able to email pdf attachments to the printer and it will print it (web setup needed).
and it has a 250 sheet paper tray ! in a $69 printer :O
from what i gather, it also comes with full ink, not 1/4 full cartridges.
Replacement ink will cost you your first child.

Puh lease. I can buy 7.7 dell printers instead of this one.
I have a 630, and very happy with it. Assume that the 545 would be similar. Use it for everyday printing (not many photos) and is pretty economical with the ink….. bought genuine cartridges from eStore the other day. Extra high capacity (AKA 140) cartridges cost $24 a pop eg (http://www.estore.com.au/Epson_Extra_Hi_Capacity_Cyan_Ink_Ca…) plus delivery. Alternatively you can always go the compatible route eg $15.75 for a bundle of four (http://www.inkoffice.com.au/compatible-4x-epson-t1381-t1384-…). If you do a lot of printing, then you can buy in bulk - 25 for $83.76 (http://www.inkoffice.com.au/compatible-25x-epson-t1381-t1384…) with free shipping… so that would be a bit over $3.35 per cartridge….
