I bought the Google Chromecast with google tv HD version for my Soniq TV model: S55V14B-AU. However when I plug in the chromecast to the TV it shows as no signal on the hdmi. The hdmi port is fine as I was using the chromecast generation 3 as well as use xbox and it works fine. Does anyone know what the issue is??
Chromecast with Google TV Not Working on Soniq TV?
Comments
Yes the HDMI port and most USB ports will not be enough. OP must use the included power brick.
OP has done a post and ghost - oh well.
Haha… you tried!!
Damn, with Halloween yesterday, "post and ghosts" are well so yesterday… lol
I have used the cable and adaptor given in the box.
Great. Have you tried pressing the home button once it's connected?
I used the chromecast on a PC monitor and it worked. Set the chromecast up and tried on tv still didn’t work, however I could control the power and volume of the tv with the chromecast remove but the screen of the hdmi still said no signal.
TV has no signal or only shows a black screen
If your TV screen is black or you're unable to get a signal when you try to set up or use your Chromecast device, try the troubleshooting steps below.
Initial troubleshootingMake sure that the Chromecast is plugged directly into a power source. Use the power cable and adaptor that came with the Chromecast. Make sure that the TV is set to the HDMI input that your Chromecast is plugged into, for example, HDMI 1 or HDMI 2. If the TV still only shows a black screen, reboot your Chromecast: unplug the Chromecast power cable and then wait one minute and then plug the cable back in. Note: Make sure that you unplug the power cable and not the HDMI cable plugged into the TV. If the TV still only shows a black screen, remove all HDMI devices plugged into the TV,
then unplug the TV power cable for 30 minutes.
Next steps
If your screen is still black, follow the steps below.

I hate Soniq tvs so much. They are utter garbage.
Have you tried different HDMI ports on the TV. The one you are trying could be dead or you could test with a different HDMI device.
Good luck getting the stupid thing to work!
Tonight I opened SBS On Demand on my Chromecast and asked it to find the movie 'I See You'. The idiotic thing interpreted it as 'ICU'.
I tried spelling the movie title and the results were even more hilarious. 🤣🤣No resort. Did all the troubleshooting.
How are you powering the Chromecast?
