  • Do these work with the halogen transformers or do they need special ones ?

    • technically halogen transformers (electronic) don't quite work with LED lamps. Personally I think the next trend of transformers for LED lighting has to be magnetic. They have longer life span and most importantly they are compatible with LED lighting. Magnetic transformers these days can be made just as light and slim as the electronic ones.

  • Are they dimmable?

  • Great price BUT coupon only discounts first item :( any extras are at full price.

    • multiple orders wont work, i tried. lol.

    • Probably it's a bug.

but u can buy multiple times

      • it's a $35 bug if ordering 10 of them.

Either way, my ONE led is on it's way to me hehee.

      • You probably have to "register" every time as a new user. otherwise when you use paypal you get logged in in and get the message:
You have used coupon code: Tmartbulb the maximum number of times allowed per customer. 1 time.

Likewise my 1 lamp is on its way.

  • are they CREE LEDs?

  • At last. Reasonable prices for LEDs. And they'll save you hundreds in electricity. Hopefully the quality is OK.

  • Where to enter the CODE I must be blind can't find??

    • just enter it in the paypal checkout, just before you finally pay.
it will then adjust the price automatically.

  • having just been inspired with this thread, i just bought some of these:

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/MR16-3x3W-9W-12V-High-Power-LED-B…

$5.29 ea delivered, apparently 9w and with a 60 degree spread. we shall see……

    • Did you check if ur transformer is DC or AC? a lot of transformers are AC and it looks like those bulbs on ebay only support DC transformers

      • ebay ones will work on both DC and AC ONLY at 12 Volts as stated in the table under voltage "AC/DC 12V".

In other words it needs a transformer and it doesn't matter if you reverse the wires that go into the LED bulb.

        • Thanks. this is why i avoid commenting when im half in my sleep. i seen the cannot work on ac110 and ac240 and assumed its 12v ac

  • Can we have some cool white led bulbs please?

  • Any one know if this bulb supports AC or DC or both?

  • I'm a complete noob.

But my question is, if I have a normal twist screw in light fitting, what other adapters/transformers do I need before I can get the LED to work? and what might be the associated costs?
