Pushys have a new site, https://www.outdoor24.com.au
The 955 is the same price on that site, but they offer $15 off for new members, whereas pushys is only $10 off.
I just bought the 955 this week for $624.99.

    • I take it its just catered towards hikers and camping peeps?

      • +1

It's actually catered more towards runners and triathletes, who normally prefer a lighter watch for their training & events. This is when compared with the Fenix 7, which has pretty much equivalent features, but arguably a much nicer looking case (although noticeably heavier on the wrist).

  • Excellent price for what is still a pretty new product line.

The 255 and 255 Music are also on sale and probably the best prices I've seen so far. The price difference between it and and 955 makes me want to splurge more to get the upgrade but I know I won't make use of the additional features..

    • +1

This is the dilemma that I have with it. I want to start training for a triathlon but I'm too lazy to be using the features when that happens haha

      • +2

The 255 has triathlon mode so that technically should be enough for just that if that's what you're after(same thing as what I'm after). From my research, the 955 in addition to better battery life has a touchscreen and some more advanced metrics that I honestly can't see myself being too interested in(the advanced running metrics are the only feature I'd use but that has already been incorporated into the 225 that was lacking in previous generations(ie. 245)- making it the more compelling buy I feel for majority of non-pro users)

        • Oooh didn't know that! I wasn't too keen on the music mode and was hoping to pick up the 935 if its still around. I want the metric but want to have as much battery life so I can be super lazy with the charging haha

advanced metrics also requires me to spend more to get the most out of it (i.e. installing a power meter on the bike and having other compatible stuff). Unfortunately, I would have to min/max because I need as much time save and efficiency as possible because triathlons take too damn long to complete lol

  • Only 955 has training readiness, right? If yes, go for that. It takes a few weeks to bed down, but then it's great.

Hi guys, is this watch better than a fenix 6pro?

    • +3

Yes, 955 is current generation. Fenix 6 is last generation.

DCrainmaker has a great review site and you can compare what you want/need.

      • +1

To add to this, Forerunner 955 is the equivalent of the Fenix 7 (ie mid-size), but in the lighter case and materials. Apart from the training tools, and upgraded GPS capabilities, the main upgrade from a usability perspective is the touchscreen which makes using the maps so much better.

  • Everything out of stock :(

    • It's back in stock in outdoor24. But best to call to get it put aside (like I did).

Don't forget the $15 voucher for new signups!

      • Thanks, I just got mine with the extra $15 discount.

  • If you health or extras insurance, check if your provider has a rewards shop.

This is standard price at https://phoenixhealthfund.com.au.
