    The URL http://www.dealsfix.com.

Firstly, you need to put the cities in some kind of order. I would detect the user's country by IP then offer the cities in that county first in the list like the way livingsocial does it.

You are missing one of the biggest players in the group buy companies, Scoopon. That's essential to add.

Your links from deals don't see to work. For example, I tried a restaurant one in Melbourne and it went to a page that says this document has moved.

Categories have some weird things in it. Restaurants have a food processor and burleque dancing included.

    Don't see RSS feeds either.

A bit of work to do but like the idea of filtering based on category/price.

  • Thanks Neil, that is pretty useful feedback. There is an IP Locator build in and it kicks in when you skip the registration process. It defaults to Sydney if it cannot figure your location or you are using a proxy.
Scoopon actually does not allow us to input their XML feed as they are taking a step back from affiliate marketing given the cost and possible threat of competition from affiliates.
I will check out the error you saw with the Melbourne Restaurant.
The reason the category picks up the food processor and burlesque deal is because the keyword “FOOD” would pull in this data and I guess these errors are something we can’t change as we are dealing with international markets and if we take the word food out there will be a ton of deals that may disappear from this category. Let’s see maybe we can fine-tune something here.
On the RSS feed - although we have one we are still fine-tuning it so that you can choose the rss feed that is specific to a city not the whole site since we are looking at thousands of deals being updated globally. The generic rss can be viewed at dealsfix.com/xml.php.

Thanks for taking the time Neil. Immensely appreciated.

    Regards
    Baz

The pictures next to deals (in the list for a city) are sometimes scaling poorly - the horizontal/vertical ratio clearly isn't fixed, so you're getting stuff flattened or stretched. See for instance http://www.vouchersin.com.au/upload/products/291/large_04783… as displayed on http://www.dealsfix.com/livedeals/Canberra.

    • Cheers will have our developers look at it…Thanks for the feedback
