  • Personally I think the kinseis are a better buy. Love mine.

Coming from another country, I can't believe how much you Aussies get ripped off on things — especially shoes.. rebel sport has these same ones for $240, athletes foot has them at $250…

  • also have a look at startfitness.
sometimes they have them for about the same, with free socks, and in black.

but yeah, that's a very decent price for 18s!

  • I have Kayano 16s, 17s and 18s. I really like the new approach to heel support in the 18s. I have and like the look of the Black and white version. As stitchy said, Startfitness are always worth checking, and you can usually find a 10% off coupon for them. Just my 2c.

  • Awesome thanks!

Was actually just looking for a pair of these today on all the regular places, good to see I waited a few hours!

  • Asics Gel Nimbus 14 for $125 delivered is great. $220 at Athletes Foot this week.

We should be careful promoting deals like this. AU Asics reps are notorious for trawling Aussie forums to find sellers who will ship internationally then threatening legal action or product withdrawal on them - end result being you can't get the shoes from that seller internationally going forward. Brooks and Asics are the worst offenders, the bastards.

That practice should be reported to the ACCC, don't they work to stop that sort of behaviour?

      • +1

Sadly totally legal, and usually part of a distribution agreement that retailers sign.

    • +1

There've been Asics bargains posted here for years so I doubt anything will happen.

if they did, another seller will replace them, it a bit like shutting down a filesharing site, another one pops up in its place.

  • payed with paypal and it come to $142.17 AUD
    To amount £87.98 GBP
    Exchange rate: 1 AUD = 0.618836 GBP

    • Did you forget to use the discount code?

    • EXTRA15 discount code takes it down to 76ish pounds

    • That rate seems poor. Did you opt out of Paypal's currency conversion and let your card do it?

      • You can use your card, if you are willing to check current rate your bank will give you

  • This website rocks! It's cheaper than the cheapest price I can find in Australia for cycling gear as well!

    • +1

Use frugal rouleur to check out prices for bike parts. In some cases other places are cheaper again.

The above link is useful for checking actual exchange rates, assuming you pay with visa.

Quick comparison on Gel Kayanos for 75.37 pounds after the 15% discount.

With Visa exchange rate = $117.52

    With Paypal exchange rate $121.79

    With Wiggle exchange rate $126.60

Most banks will charge you an extra 2-3% on international transactions but it still generally works out better than using paypal.

  • Anyone got experience with both the standard width and the 2E?

    • +1

Not with the Kayano, but I did have a standard and 2E of the 2150. Shoe didn't really feel like it fit differently, but when I ran the standard used to give me terribly blisters, no issues at all with the 2E.

  • Lunaglide 3+ looks better and fits better

  • bought one thanks!!

  • are male UK sizes same as AUS?
