I purchased a new fridge from HN a few days ago and paid the sticker price that was about $300 under manufacturer's rrp. I had shopped around and HN was around the same price as most other places so I got the fridge from there as they were able to deliver that same day.
On the radio this afternoon, I heard an ad from HN saying that they had a two-day sale tomorrow providing a further 10% off all ticketed prices for white goods incl. fridges. I know if one of their competitors had a sale with a lower price, HN would refund the difference under their price guarantee if I approached them within 7 days.
I might go see them tomorrow and see if they will honour their price guarantee against one of their own prices. If they do, my refund would be about $200.
What do you guys think?
In my experience the ticketed price magically increases by at least the discount amount the night before the sale.
