Can anyone recommend No Tie laces for large shoes (walking/jogging styles) that don't pop out under pressure. Suitable for old, inflexible, big, fat bastards who find shoe lace tying a strain.
No Tie Laces for Size 13 Shoes

Can you clip them together 1 handed or is it a 2 handed job?
Yep, one handed :D
Getting out of them you put one foot on the heel of the other and it pulls them apart.
Thanks. The web site assures me they are suitable for fat bastards too! Only in more polite terms.
@bigpallooka: haha, I got a bit of weight on me, they're pretty solid. I've worn them pretty successfully with sneakers and boots too.
i use these on my size 15 clodhoppers..https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/115287147722?chn=ps&_ul=AU&_trkparms=ispr%3D1&amdata=enc%3A1sNz0gvaoQiCWbTWEHDPQRg50&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=705-139619-5960-0&mkcid=2&mkscid=101&itemid=115287147722&targetid=&device=c&mktype=pla&googleloc=9071260&poi=&campaignid=15984321586&mkgroupid=&rlsatarget=&abcId=9300814&merchantid=116306615&gclid=Cj0KCQjwteOaBhDuARIsADBqRehdjYojgAbeaqUyB_ZlVsN3TH1yoeu_dJi1xWu401_sx2W_R8Sson0aAjjUEALw_wcB
they work fine
Thanks. Definitely cheap enough to try.
I have 4E feet and basically have to buy New Balance to get anything to fit. Thanks but, no thanks.
My son also has a wide foot; most shoes I get him he says are too narrow. He has a few pairs of Nike Air 270s which he quite likes/fits nicely (they have laces though)
With Hickies no longer distributing here and therefore hard to acquire, I suggest Glydez.
Have you tried those no-tie silicone shoes laces? I buy cheap ones from Ebay.
An example: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/174099505736?hash=item288923a248…
I just noticed Kmart sell a similar thing for a similar price. I might try them. My only issue is I've read some claims that they pop out under stress.
The cheapies don’t offer much tension adjustment.
I use these guys: https://zubits.com/
They're magnetic, you still have to bend down to clip them on, but they hold pretty well.
They only tend to pop open when I don't want them to when I'm on my tippy toes trying to reach for something…
