Garmin 2495LMT $220 (RRP $299) with Lifetime Map @ The Good Guys

60

Hi,

Just bought this today and I think I got good deal for this GPS. I checked on other website including ryda and I think this is the cheapest I found in Australia. GoodGuys had the deal for $240-ish a week ago but now it went back to $280-ish. Ryda sells this GPS for $250-ish

This device is much better than navman 85T in terms of responsiveness, color, supports, build quality.

key features as below
Free lifetime map updates and free traffic update
Lifetime Suna Traffic
Voice-activated navigation
Bluetooth hands-free calling compatible
Lane assist with photoReal junction view
Dual Orientation

Good luck in pricematching because not all good guys can pricematch this.

Now I can get the best route from my bedroom to my bathroom with my GPS..:)

Suggested Retail Price: $ 199.99 USD

Please remind me why we shop from overseas?
Again, AUS pricing is way out of line.

i've never used my GPS unit since getting my iphone…

    • I used my android for short trip but for long trip/interstate,, I prefer to save my phone battery for something more emergency

        get a car charger

i have the tom tom iphone cradle, it's excellent… it even amplifies the iphone volume…

        • For most phones that doesn't help. Since the battery drain on the GPS chip is higher than the current that is getting passed through your car charger. Even if you get a car charger which can input enough current, the onboard circuitry usually restricts it, therefore you still get battery drain issues.

Not sure if this happens on the iphone or not, but definitely occurs on many android phones.

    • too much construction work and stuff happening in VIC atm, so i like a dedicated unit which will redirect me to better routes through its traffic receiver.

  • DSE has 20% off all GPS atm.. but they don't stock the 2495LMT

i have nfi about GPS because i just use my android phone..

but i am curious to know which is the best out of the 3 main brands.. there are sooo many models -.-

my housemate just bought a Navman MY85XLT for $198.40 from DSE and the screen has horizontal lines going across it when you turn it on…. instafail =\

  • I got the 2595LMT for about that price $225.

They had a 20% off on the retail price when they had a sale, then I got an additional 20% off from using my Good Guys Gift Card from Aust Post.
