Hi all, just thought I'd provide an outline and comparison of the new Dyson Gen5 Detect cord-free vacuum for OzB users' reference.
New features & changes
* 23% more suction power than V15 on boost mode. This benefits non-motorised tools such as crevice tool in particular.
* On & off button next to LCD screen. No need to hold down trigger anymore.
* New Fluffy Optic hard-floor head, twice as bright as laser slim fluffy head on V12, Outsize & V15
* HEPA filter included (filtration standard increased to 99.99% of dust to 0.1 microns, vs 99.99% filtration to 0.3 on other models). HEPA Dyson CF models are distinguished by the cyan coloured filters, vs purple on the older filters.
* Redesigned LCD readout. Graph will now have lines expand when high levels of dust are being picked up. The lines get smaller as the floor area becomes cleaner.
* 70 minute battery on Eco mode. Battery has also been redesigned to better distribute weight.
* 3.5KG weight compared to 3-3.1KG weight of V11 and V15. This is offset during use on floor by redistributed weight and button. Additional weight is mostly noticeable during handheld use.
* Crevice tool integrated into vacuum wand/tube so it's always on hand. Also has a dusting brush build in.
Note that due to manufacturing capacity constraints & parts shortage, V11 is currently not in cord-free core range. This may or may not change in future.

I hope that this assists everyone in understanding the model differences. I'm posting this as an individual OzB user wanting to help ensure you all have information to make the best choice for your needs. This post is not on behalf, or speaking for Dyson in any way.
For additional context:
DLS - Dynamic Load Sensing: Allows the vacuum to tell whether on hard-floors or carpet with Digital Motorbar head. Lowers suction for hardfloors to save power, & boosts it for carpet cleaning
Piezo - The Piezo sensor determines how dirty a floor is by the vibrations of the dirt. From this, the machine will increase and decrease suction as needed.
