Low price for a brushless 3s RC Boat. Can't comment on the quality, I'll be my first RC boat. Reviews seem to be pretty good though.

Single battery version is available for slightly less (~$5) but probably worth getting two for that price.

Claims to be AU stock.

I can’t swim, what is the recovery procedure like when boat flips upside down or gets out of radio range? Is it better to get a slow cruiser type RC boat if you can’t swim or are scared of bull sharks in lakes? Also if you don’t live near a lake, what’s the use case procedure like? Wake up, charge batteries, drive to lake, setup, use for 15mins, battery flat, charge 1hr, then use for 15mins and then drive back home? Are these only good for people living near a lake?

Seems to have a auto flip if it go upside now and an alarm for before it hits out of range or low battery.

You can usually buy a bulk of these batteries from a local hobby shop so I wouldn't worry about battery charging.

Also, let’s say you can’t get any of your friends to buy this rc boat, so you are the only one at a lake, won’t you look like a loner? I see RC car people by themselves in parks and they have a certain ‘look’ about them, like they are loners. I don’t want to look like a nigel with an rc boat when visiting a lake when everyone is there with their friends and family. I tried to convince other people who live near a lake to buy an rc boat but they all said no. Also how does rc boat days work? If you manage to convince your friends to buy, so you drive to a lake, zoom zoom for 10-15 mins up and down the lake and then drive all the way back home? Or buy 4-5 batteries and change battery every 15 mins? Will I only use this once and then never use it again?

Crickey. Wouldn't worry about what others think, who cares. And you can buy as many batteries as you want. If you buy two from this deal it'll be 40+ min of use most likely.

You probably wouldn't want to live too far from some water though.

      • Sorry, I am just trying to visualise a use case scenario. Either using it alone or with friends. Time to drive to a lake, time to change battery, time of actual using it on a lake. Then I am visualising the fun aspect of a little dart speeding across the water up and down. Then I am visualising me just standing there alone with an rc controller at a lake. I will do a feasibility study on this product and its use case and if it will bring me joy and report back here. I think adult RC ‘fun’ can only be had in very small doses. You need friends who are also in RC to have fun with these.

Ha ha now I realise you’re taking the piss. I like your style.

    • Not sure if you’re joking or being serious. If you’re being serious I don’t think this boat is for you. If you analyse and think too much about things you’d never leave your house or do anything in life. That’s my tip on life.

      • Understandable. Makes sense.

I have quite few boats and the price is fantastic for the specs and size. I ordered one even though I dont need one lol … always good to have few extras … thanks for the post!

    • Do you go alone or with friends who also have rc boats to a lake? Do you make it a day out? Or do you just go alone for 1-2 hrs and drive back home? How long is your drive to the nearest lake? If you go alone, do you feel weird standing alone with an rc controller as an adult? Sorry, just trying to understand this.

I reckon you should get into dogging while you’re at the park, then you won’t be alone.

      • Alone or with mates. Have a large man made lake close by (5 min drive) but go to different areas… Usually ppl come and watch and ask lot of questions and often are surprised how cheap these are. I should be selling them hahaha.

I normally do 1-2 packs per boat, have few with me … also have a small $50 inflatable boat I use in case the RC boat gets stuck as often there is debris under water you cant see, good to be ready vs getting in the water yourself especially in unknown areas.

        its a lot of fun … w

    • I'm in the same boat (hah), didnt need, but ordered anyway. Worst case scenario I have 2 batteries I can use in RC cars and only wasted a bit of money on top of that.

    • Hi mate. Just a quick question that I think I know the answer to. Can these be used in salt water? Cheers

  • The only thing weird in this thread is your adhd-like ramblings.
Yes, people of all ages enjoy playing with RC toys, get the (profanity) over it.

The fun thing about being an adult is you dont have to give a shit what people think of your hobbies or what you are into. Its no longer grade school.

  • Cheers - might get for my son's Christmas present

  • Thanks Op, bought.

  • I keep getting $67 shipping… Postcode as 3550 Bendigo Victoria. Can't figure out how to get free shipping

    • What’s your total with the 67 shipping?

Mine was like around 250 total,
You don’t get to enter the coupon until like 2nd or 3rd checkout screen.

Then it should be 105 depending exchange rate.

  • The price appears at AU$171.82 for the 2 battery version & AU$151.14 for the 1 battery version. This is right through until the PAY NOW button appears. No coupons seem to be available. Any tips?

    • Expired I guess. I'll update

    • +2

You have to manually copy paste the coupon code up in the main post… it's still working.

  • Thanks for that, confirmed still working.

  • got it today

    • Thank you for the update. I am still deciding. When will you be charging the battery and driving to the lake? I want to know if all the work with charging, driving to the lake, standing there by yourself whizzing the boat up and down brought you enjoyment or was the whole experience tedious and required too much flaffing around? Will it go on the shelf to be never used or you enjoyed it and will be driving to the lake often to use it?

  • Still working today with the code
