T-Shirts That Don't Shrink, Please?

Have had quite a number of T-shirts shrink in length, which is really irritating.

I tried different brands and different and haven't found any that still look okay after a couple of months.

Any advice on which brands or materials I need to look for when buying a new T?

      I'm guessing either
      (a) washed in hot/warm water; or
      (b) clothes dryer dried on standard setting

  • Maybe you’re just growing taller?

Wash in cold water and line / clothes airer dry (preferably inside out hung 50% of the way over the line to spread the weight - not sure if the line distribution part actually helps or not but worth a shot)….
I've had so many t-shirts over a couple of decades, some kept for over a decade… and none shrink

    • This! Use the gentle setting on the machine.

That being said I also have my sh.t kicker t-shirts that have never shrunk when on the most aggressive settings. I very very rarely use my dryer for t-shirts. If anything I have had the opposite happen where t shirts have stretched and lost their shape (worst area is around the neckline)

  • Uniqlo tees
I do warm wash and dryer every time
Doesn’t shrink or lose its shape
    Last about 1-2 years

    • I feel the uniqlo one’s definitely are not as good as they used to be

  • gildan t shirts, usa made

  • What were they made from? Cotton, hemp, plastic etc
What temp do you wash them on?
    Do you use a dryer?

How are you drying them? If you are using a fixed timed dryer, then STOP. They over heat the clothes as they just run on a fixed time.

Upgrade to a sensor dryer than detects when the clothes are dry and turns off or upgrade to the ozb dryer of choice being the esatto heat pump dryer. Its under $800. Cheaper than buying new shirts every few weeks!

  • Puberty?

  • Uniqlo tees

  • Eat less

  • I buy kmart t-shirts in my size.
I wash them at 40 degrees, pop them in the dryer on a warm or synthetic setting for 20 minutes max.
Then I hang them indoors while they are still damp.
No shrinkage and no ironing required. 😊

    • My K-Mark ones haven't shrunk yet either.
I cold wash them, then just dry them inside
My washer spin drys fast. I never iron in my life :p

  • The best t-shirts I found have a blend of polyester and cotton. I found they didn't shrink as much and doesn't need ironing.
