Hi guys, looking to get some advice on my situation with The Good Guys. I placed an order on the 15th of September for the iPhone 14 Pro Max as click & collect from a local store.
I received an email on the 21st of this month to notify me that the item was ready for collection, when I went into the store on 23rd for collection. I was advised that they've mistakenly sold my phone to someone and they didn't have any other iPhone 14 pro max available.
I was given an option of cancellation of my order or they can reorder the phone which could take up to 4-5 weeks. Please advise what I should do. Should I cancel my order with them and order through Apple directly as the time frame is 2-3 weeks through Apple?

Oooh, ask them if they can get me a unicorn while they're at it! You can ask, but they'll say no. They don't have Tim Cook on speed dial.
I'd do this, unless the Good Guys are willing to give you a good discount for screwing up. No point giving them your hard earned dollarydoos otherwise. Likely they won't care though since iPhones are on backorder for weeks.
