    Everything except ice cream

  • Are these made for costco like the vitamix?

    • +2

Nah mini is a standard line; I have one (think I bought it from DJs) nd they are great because they don't take up that much space and will pretty much do everything you need it to for home use.

If you do loads of baking you may want the bigger one (never been an issue with me and I use mine maybe once a week) and the specific 'mini' attachments (eg the mixing bowl) can be harder to come by / harder to find on special

      • Ok thanks

  • Info from kitchenaid website:

  • I have one . So small . Very heavy too.
Purchased one from costco 18 months ago .
Think my hand held $29 mixer does a better job too.
Can only do a small amount of mixing at a time( about 1/4 ir kenwood chef batch). Most of the time i use the cheap hand mixer instead as this is a heavy pain to lift onto counter. When it is used it takes ages to do what my kenwood chef used to do quickly.
The beaters are not dishwasher safe.
On the positive side optional vegetable sheeter attachment is great( purchased this 6 months before I purchased the kitchen aid at $49).
Would only recommend if it permanently lives on the counter and you want something that looks nice in your kitchen and you plan to make something like an occasional packet cake mix.

    • Yea it's tiny. No clue why anyone buys the small ones?

      • Probably they don't realise how small it is , especially when the advertising blurb say big enough for 5 dozen biscuits.
Should say big enough to whip 3 egg whites , if you have a spare half an hour to do it in.
