    how to get best value?

    go early

      and stay late…..

  • The prices they charge there are atrocious.

    • why?

An adult can stay all day for $70.

used to have an 'early bird' special of $10-15 about 10 years ago, now the prices are jacked way up pretty expensive. dont know how anyone can stay for 8 hours+

        • They used to have cheapie Tuesdays when there used to be lulls. Now it's busy every day, doubly so on weekends, so they don't need to discount. The Alba Thermal Springs just opened up literally across the road, and while all the locals thought it would reduce prices with competition, it's actually increased them.

    • Yet the place is often packed with people.

Don't bother with unlimited pass. Just book an hour session and stay as long as you like. No one checks wristbands. If you bring your own robe and towel, you can skip the $25 locker and hire fee.

    • $25 fee for a locker and robe? Somehow that seems more excessive than their entry fees.

Once people are there they have no choice if they didnt bring one.. charge what they like.

  • is it an actual hot spring due to geothermal activity or a man made one ?

The hot springs water has come from natural hot springs that is 637 metres below ground and it’s filled with healing qualities. Natural thermal mineral waters flow from deep underground into the many pools, experiences and private baths at Peninsula Hot Springs. The temperature varies from 34 to 42 degrees Celsius, offering you the opportunity to experience bathing just the way you like it.

that sounds like marketing BS to me, pretty much. you can dig deep enough almost anywhere on Earth to siphon out hot water and called it hot spring. Those healing properties are debatable. I've been to proper hot spring where you wish you don't step in that mud and it's much better experience. With time allowed better head towards somewhere like Hepburn Springs for a better experience.

        • that sounds like marketing BS to me

I've been several times and find it very relaxing. Well worth the money.

A new one is opening this month across the road too… Not sure if that will affect prices.

  • Went last weekend overcrowded and overpriced. I'd avoid

    • You'd think the high prices would prevent the overcrowding.

  • I think just make an experience out of it. If you’re going with a group of people, you could look at booking and sharing the cost of a ‘relaxation cabana’ for the day. I think it’s $200. That way if it’s inclement weather, you’ve got a place to chill for a bit (they’re heated and have a safe etc.)
Definitely would go there early and stay late.

Take you’re own food/snacks etc. apparently you’re not meant to take alcohol…

If you’re taking your own towels/robe - hopefully it’s not white, easy enough to get mixed up with all the hire ones.

Also I’d recommend to go straight to the top spring, as this one tends to fill up pretty quickly and it can be annoying to wait for others to finish their 10 minutes…

    • Good idea. Wouldn't want to be out in the hot spa when its raining.

  • Best to go during the week as it’s not as busy as weekends, and avoid long weekends — unless of course you like crowds.

Not sure about best value tickets as I’ve never bought them myself, I would just look for deals if they exist.

Damn now I feel like going.

  • Im visiting the hot springs in Mornington…

I recommend getting a map or turning on your GPS. The hot springs are not in Mornington
