Hi guys,
I was just wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a USB-C adapter with power passthrough? I have a Lenovo Duet that I've recently started to use with a monitor, but the inability to charge during use is very limiting.
Ideally, the unit would have at least 1 USB-C slot (for power passthrough), HDMI, and two USB ports - one is workable, though.
I purchased one from Kmart recently, which functioned well enough with HDMI and USB, but provided insufficient power to charge my device. I kind of expected poor performance, but thought I'd give it a shot.
I've visited Officeworks and had a look at some slightly more expensive units, but they've been reported to have similar issues as the Kmart adapter. They actually seem to be the same basic devices sold at Kmart and Amazon with different branding and a higher price.
I've considered a dock or similar, but I'm a little hesitant to purchase one given that they are close in price to the actual device + I could just use my laptop. It's just so convenient to plug the Duet, that I use for work outside of the home, into the monitor and continue working.
