    Not even close to being the cheapest,
    No deal

  • Oh, it's a projector and not a 100 inch screen? Yeah nah, you shouldn't be that much.

    • If it's a projector why does it have a fixed size? Isn't it variable?

      • I'd imagine it's the highest it can go before it has noticeable quality loss or something…? I got a cheapo one similar to what the Aus Post sells for 50 odd bucks a couple years back, and obviously the bigger it goes, the worse it looks. But it claims to be able to do 120" so I mean, it's a bargain I guess.

    • There is a higher priced model that includes 120” screen. Would think you could adjust to any size and not just the size of the screen its bundled with.

    Agree this isn't really a deal, as mentioned above Video Pro has it for $4,250 atm. And JB Hi-Fi had it at $4,495 back in July 2022, but just wanted to clear some things up as I have one.

    Hisense 'Laser TV' is marketed that way, because they have a TV turner, but more importantly, they INCLUDE the screen. So because they include the screen, the device is fixed to that size (there is no zoom or focus settings you can change… just an auto calibration function).

    There are currently four versions. I won't go into model numbers, instead I'll explain them.
    * first number is size (dah 🙄)
    * L i am assuming means laser 🤷🏾‍♂️
    * 5 = single laser, 9 = triple laser
    * letter equal year (F, G, H etc)
    * dunno what the last letters mean, prob country version. Yes the USA version is better thn the Aussie version (OS and HDMI ports) 🤦🏾‍♂️

    e.g. 100L5F is lowest, 120L9G is highest.

    so they make 100in and 120in versions for both the single laser and triple laser (TriChroma).

    It is def one of the better products out there, and including an Ambient Light Rejecting (ARL) screen makes all the difference.

    I got this version as the 120in wasnt availble yet. I don't think they have H models yet, that was also an assumption. I haven't installed my 100in screen yet (which you have to order from Hisense after buying the projector) and am currently projecting it on my wall.

    it's true you can't change the size settings… but i just moved the device further back 😅 the top is a little out of focus because of it, but when watching a 16:9 movie, it doesn't really matter. worth it for my +130in picture 🤣 I'll do the screen one day (still sitting on the floor 😶)

    Hisense do make another version, the P1X Pro, which you can change the size of the picture. But because you can, it doesn't include the ALR screen (which costs a few thousand dollars itself, and why I went with Hisense Laser TV, as i got a really good deal)

  • No deal.
