The soft silicone seal in the lid makes the dishes airtight and leakproof, so prepared meals or leftovers can be stored in the fridge and freezer.

I wish the plastic versions of these were still available, the Decor Match-ups RealSeal range. The only plastic container I've ever had with a properly waterproof seal.

    • Have you tried the fresh seal range? I find that they have superb leak proof seal.
      Was on sale recently

      • I bought a couple of the 2l oblong fresh seal boxes, poured some water into them, closed the lid, and put them on their side. The water poured straight out of them, it wasn't a slow leak.

I did the same with a 2l match-up realseal box that I've been using for a couple of years, and not a drop came out.

Decor seem to know this, nowhere in the description of the fresh seal boxes do they claim they are leakproof.

    Thanks op!

Looks like some of their other range is on sale as well.

  • Would someone who used these please comment if these work well as lunch boxes for wet stuff, or do the leakproof lids only work when sitting in a fridge etc.? Have been looking for a lunch container for a while, don’t like the idea of all-plastic, and overpriced metal ones leak despite claims to the contrary 😭

I haven't used this one as a lunch box. But I use another in the thermoglass range, a lid with clips. I frequently store soups and walk to work with it, hasn't spilled/leaked!

    • I used this type of container for lunch at work, no leaking at all but they are heavy.

  • Usually dispatched in 1-2months..
