Do ALDI Still Sell These Items?

For months my local ALDI has been missing several products they used to have all the time. Is it every ALDI or just mine? Here's the examples I can think of without actually standing in the store:

  • Canned Fruit Salad (about 850g I think - a largish-size tin)
  • Skim milk powder (they always have full cream which only makes 7L, but never skim which makes 10L)
  • Rice Bran OIl
  • Confidence 2-ply AND 3-ply toilet paper
  • 600g cage eggs (work harder you bitc—s, or you'll become…)
  • Tempura Coated Nuggets
  • And "Tricare" 8x bars of "milk & honey" soap. It's kind of apricot in colour. They once told me both the white and apricot have the same order code so the warehouse just sees: "soap" and therefore sends whatever they grab. But it's been MONTHS since I've seen it. It's the only cheapish soap I can use without getting weird skin problems, so when I saw it months ago I bought half a box… but it won't last forever.

    The rice bran oil supply issue is due to export bans and increases in duty in Indonesia, Malaysia and India.
    Ultimately, the cause is Ukraine not producing enough sunflower oil, driving cooking oil prices up, prompting those governments to greatly reduce exports so their people can afford cooking oil.

    None in my Woolies for a few months.

      Oh, ok. But Aldi sells the same brand that Coles/WW do and I saw some there the other day. One store has a 3L bottle, the other a 4L. Oh well.

    Sometimes, what happens is the stuff just doesn't come from warehouse.

    If you can see the item price tag there in store, (and empty shelf) that means item is not a deleted item.

    All eggs are in low supply usually, So most likely you have just come to store at a time (staff usually put the stuff, (most ambient/room temp stuff) out before the store opens, so if opens at 8 30, then staff are meant to have it out by e.g. 9 ideally if not 9 30) when they are all sold out, OR store didn't receive them

    Have really not seen that one, most probably been taken off.

      What about those dried peaches? They have been missing from every Aldi I have tried the last 4 months. Still listed on the shelf and also the boxes they come in (combined with dried apple).

        If so most likely aldi stores do get the dried peaches, But in a very limited quantity (i.e. may be one - three of them per box). And most likely by the time you get to store someone else had already bought them. Its sometimes common with the aldi products to be not having 1 flavour (happens a bit with e.g. (organic cerals- coconut & berry flavour). I dont really know if managers can individually order certain flavor of products from the same barcode. Its highly automated the ordering system. But I am not a manager or high level person who could answer on this ordering of certain flavour.

        But my gut says warehouse facing issues in getting that flavor, so they reduce amount of that flavor in the box.

          That's the one. I checked a couple of days ago a new box behind the one on the shelf and it only had apple as well.

      I opened my last can of fruit salad yesterday. It's "Sweet Valley Fruit Salad in Syrup" 825g. I couldn't list the barcode because it has no numbers, only the bars.

      The toilet paper doesn't have a space anymore. For years Aldi had a pack of about 12x 2 ply, and 3 ply which I never bought. Then for the sniffles virus they only had 24x 3 ply and the 2 ply disappeared. The only toilet paper they've had for a few months now is a name brand… Kleenex maybe!? Not sure on that because I had 3x packs of 24x rolls, so I haven't needed to buy toilet paper again yet. I just noticed it hasn't been there for a few months now.

      Rice bran oil has no space. But its price tag was soaked with oil and unreadable for at least 6 months before the sniffles. So I assumed someone had removed the tag, forgotten to reprint it, and so no one orders it.

      The powdered milk is a strange one because skim used to sell out every couple of days, and so it had two spaces… whereas full cream had one space and was a slow mover.

    I haven't seen Rice Bran oil for @ 3 to 4 months. It was heaps cheaper than Colesworth.

    They have disappeared before.

    Also missing are the Spinach Pakoras and Onion Bhajis.

    I been looking for rice bran oil but seems like it’s been deleted. As the tag is no longer there there, checked with an employee and told it may have been deleted.

    Aldi still selling

    Fruit salad 825 g
    tempura nuggets
    confidence tissues (both 3 ply and double strength one). 3 ply 24 pack, one was probably not received by this particular store, but ticket still there so still selling it. Have been receiving at other stores the (big 24 pack confidence one) I can assure you.

    In regards to your honey flavored soap, difficult to say. The boxes themselves only come with only 2 flavor now, and ticket doesn't say flavor name only ASSORTED. You can probably assume that one is not going to come back for a long long time. Sorry.

    with regards to other stuff
    Rice Bran Oil, Skim Milk powder
    No ticket in store for them. Have not seen them come in store for a long time either. Consider that one deleted from stores, and warehouse. from my understanding Aldi doesnt want shelves to be empty to if they get a consistent supply issue they might replace that spot with something else (Here being another oil, and full cream milk powder).

      The soap is the most important one. The white sets my skin on fire by the second or third use. Like you say the box says assorted, but they put the full boxes out with the top ripped open and they only ever contain white. It was like this before the sniffles virus too… 6 months of white only, then the apricot colour would turn up so I'd buy 20x packets, knowing I wouldn't see it again for 4-6 months.

      Oh I remembered another one… rechargeable batteries. I only see single use now.
