Was looking for a replacement 2.0 active bookshelf speakers since I found my Creative T40 speakers stopped working.
This speaker has been on this site a few times.
There is also the other link to the offer on Amazon, but now has a $40 coupon which brings the price down to $153.99 instead of the older $50 coupon which brought it down to $149.
Note: The coupon also works on other regular priced items on the site.
If you don't have high expectations, they are ok for the price. They have a clean sound but severely lacking in low frequency
I know they've dipped below $120 before, maybe lower - would recommend at least a short read through previous edifier posts on ozbargain or reddit for discussion of the different models

Definitely look at the upgrade version of this. The R1700BTs. They have the sub out port to connect a sub. Important if you love watching movies. These paired with a sub will sound amazing. Upgraded version also has an improved remote I believe.
Just a side note…. it is on ebay for $149.99 and a $10 ebay coupon and free delivery with ebay plus = $4 cheaper. Too bad I already bought it and it is on its way.

How are these? I'm in need of speakers and was contemplating picking up the $30 one from logitech lol. Main use is for gaming, movies and listening to music because I'm not a fan of my ears heating up from wearing headphones for too long.
