I thought of it more as I got my 2 as a DJI refurb so this is over double the price, and seems too expensive in comparison. Yes it has some nice features, but more than twice the price for a recreational user? Doesn't seem worth it.

You're exempt from a lot of restrictions because of it being under 250g
Just not within 30m of anyone horizontally, or most national parks.
Less than 120m vertically, more than 30m laterally from people, during the day, within visual line-of-sight, only in clear air (no fog or clouds), greater than 5.5km from a controlled airport (unless lighter than 250g), and not allowed in certain State and National parks.
So you can fly these practically everywhere if you follow these rules.
