I have a cheap grass trimmer (the ozito, red one with 18v batteries) from big box store that has a proprietary head that takes blade instead of line. It has a round rod with flat sides and the threads that run "righty tighty".
I have seen some people discussing to to use cut up lines on the same using some adapter, but I wish to find a bump feed line trimmer head that could possibly be added to it. Maybe there is an adapter to convert this flat sides rod with clockwise tightening threads into something that takes up a wide variety of line trimmer heads. Muxh appreciate your help and discussions on this.
Line Trimmer Head (or Adapter) for This Trimmer Motor End

This post (and another one in this forum) basically talk about the adapters to use pre cut lines. I'm trying to find a way to get a bump feed spool head on it instead.
I think it will be underpowered to drive a heavier bump feed.
Ozito do sell a version with a feed, but it is costlier.
I don’t mind the blades, but in the past have used heavy gauge trimmer cord tied in place. It used to last several uses without replacement, compared to “bump” feeding the lighter cord several times each mow.
I actually tried 3D printing an adapter from Thingiverse for mine.
Might be more successful with ABS or nylon, or even a resin printer, but the PLA I tried didn't have enough strength and the body thread sheared off between the print layers.
I got one printed with fairly strong material, sadly I just having had any success with even that as the line just seems to break quite easily. Then again I was using it up against fences etc so that probably didn't help. The actual adapter worked well but OP is looking for something where he can bump the line through as it breaks I'm assuming
I had the same experience as you. Ended up buying cheap 3rd party blades from ebay.
