I have 3 x Deco M5s at the moment and coverage is a bit lacking. My parents also have 2 Deco M5s and having not enough signal strength (double brick, 2 storey for them) - so I was thinking I'll give them one or two of my 3 M5s to sort out their issue.
I then need to buy a new 3 pack for myself and quite like Deco in general because it's very simple (if I'm away and internet breaks, hopefully my MRS can fix it); plus I like the parental control features so I can limit time/devices of the children…… happy to spend $$ to upgrade if it's value for money (don't want to splurge but do want decent internet without constant issues), should I get a 3 pack M9, X20 or X60s? We have 100mbps NBN FTTC. I do plan to run ethernet between my floors/outside to give it better spacing/reliability, as we also have a granny flat to get coverage for in the backyard.
I read that I can mix M5s with another Deco type, so I'd put the newer model as the 'main' unit, and then add whatever M5s I have left that I didn't give away, to also supplement the coverage in various spots of the house.
Keen to hear suggestions on which to go for?
The M5 is relatively weak when it comes to range. x50 or x60 will be the much more powerful devices.
Officeworks will price match Amazon and you can get a 3pack for under $450.
