Do You Need a Visa (Transfer Visa?) for a Layover in PNG?

I'm booking a flight from Manila to Brisbane but there is an hour and a half stopover in Port Moresby. The airline for both legs of the trip is Air New Guinea.

Is a Visa required for PNG? It's just that I don't know how Port Moresby airport works.
