  • I would buy of this if it had 4G LTE…I belong to the niche group of people that are willing to daily drive a tablet as a phone replacement. It's using a Snapdragon SOC anyway!

  • What’s that in dollarydoos?

    • 609.28 Skippy drops*

*all the caveats in the world that talks about daily exchange rates, bank transaction fees blah blah

    • ~$610 shipped to VIC, using Mastercard exchange rate

      Quite dear o.O

  • Wish there was an English ROM for this without dicking around.

What do you mean by that doesn't it come with the option to select your language English being one of them?

      • I've been looking through https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/legion-y700.4418573/page-… and people reported having problems with notifications from google apps, and other stuff I can't remember atm. Sideloading and mucking around, something is bound to not work. Also I'm not a fan of a Chinese ROM.

Think I'll just wait until some company comes to their senses and realises that 8" with 16:10 aspect ratio is the perfect size for a tablet, and with OLED screen.

Still can't replace my Samsung Tab S2, all these years later…

I have this. Easy to set up as has english option. Using another launcher removes all the remaining chinese. Sideloaded play store and everything works fine.

    • Any luck with:

      Netflix
      Prime Video
      Disney Plus

      Or other streaming apps?

All work in full hd. Only tested these 3 though

Thank you! Bought one based on your report.

          • @yak: Install google play from somewhere like apkmirror and not lenovo app store as previous purchases will not work on the lenovo installed version.

    How reliable is Giztop?

    • +1

There's previous deals showing they're reliable, especially since they use DHL for fast shipping.

They're owned by some of the GizmoChina crew. Though to be fair I was an editor at GC prior to Giztop being a thing.

  • Warranty Warranty?

    LoL….what warranty?

8.8 inches we getting closer to the ideal tablet size which is around 7.5 inches.

    • Yeah, 7.5 - 8 with 870 snapdragon would have been perfect

  • I couldn't find this tablet anywhere in KL or Bangkok. Maybe I asked in the wrong places but after many tablet/phone shops making calls looking for it and not receiving a positive response, I'd about given up on it.

Good to see it reappear here.

I bought one of these from Giztop earlier in the year and it was dead on arrival. When I returned it they told me that there was nothing wrong with it. They then charged me a restocking fee and wouldn't refund the shipping costs. All up I lost around $200 and no tablet. I read a lot of favourable reviews about this company, alas I won't be writing one.
