Leaking/Seeping from Bathroom Polished Tiles (Help/Advice)

Thought I would reach out to our professionals here and especially if any plumbers are seeing this post.
Will be calling a professional this weekend but from now until then, some ideas would be great.

Noticed as I was taking a pee that the polished tiles on the wall had some leakage. Not full blown leaking but weeping and noticeable coming from the grout.
Not entirely sure how long it has been like that. Shower is on the opposite side of the ensuite, but the bath tap control is the closest to the leak/seep
Nothing higher that I can see in those photos of a leak above. Just in those circled areas.

Thanks in advance!

Noticed as I was taking a pee that the polished tiles on the wall had some leakage.

    User name definitely checks out.

  • Read my post on similar issues a few months back. We believe we solved it - shower grout had some holes and water was leaking into the gaps, travelling behind some tiles and exiting at the the point of least resistance well outside of the shower area. As soon as re-grouted the leaking stopped.

We did get a professional independent leak inspector in at our expense to review as well (we were fighting our builder as our place only 12 months old).

    • But was that near your shower? Our location has the shower on the total opposite side of the leakage area.

      • If you read my thread you should see I mention it first leaked onto the carpet outside our bathroom which was about 3 metres away from our shower. Then it moved to leaking out of the silicone joining the wall tiles to the floor tiles near our toilet (1.5m from shower).

Water can move great distances from the leak source.

It’s hard to know what is the source in your situation but there are some tests you can try. I’d get a professional leak inspector in.

        • Yeah I will suss it out tomorrow.
It seems to be fairly well contained to one area at the moment, just a suss spot being on the actual wall.
I am thinking it could be the pipe behind the wall.
          Will call a plumber tomorrow

You could be in a flood zone like Melbourne's experiencing right now. If you look though the bathroom window can you see fish swimming around in murky water.

    • 😂 Ironically it pisses down for days and I have this issue now. Coincidence?

Just had a look, all good…no fish swimming around..just a few possums lurking.

Your pee is too acidic and it burnt through the pipes and now coming through the walls…

Or did you watch a horror movie prior to peeing?

    • My urine has been dark yellow as of late.
Will alert plumber to put in some heavy duty pipes

I think you need to drink more water throughout the day. :)

  • RIP your wallet.

    • I don't carry around a wallet anymore 🤣

  • Boy that's some rough tiling!
