Looking for a friend.
Simple microwave, not too big, single user only.
Prefer reliable brands/models.
Looking for a bargain ;) or at least a good price.

Been using cheap contempo microwave. Kmart would be similar too.
Just go with any homebrand microwave Target/Kmart/Big W all are decent enough Unless you really want to pay brand name tax, or require super fancy features
KMart.
Bought a Sharp R30A0W, can recommend
Only issue is that when it starts beeping (to let you know it’s finished), even if you open the door, it continues to beep
I got one from IKEA recently, very simple and basic and doesn't even have a clock, works okay but I am still holding onto the receipt just in case, 2-year guarantee
I have moved to a microwaveless household……changed my life - and that extra space you get where the microwave used to be - so valuable.
Either you have a tiny kitchen, or your microwave was enormous
My last Target Essentials microwave lasted more than 10 before I got rid of it because it was looking too shabby. Cost $60 iirc. Probably still cost about the same.
Thanks. Not sure he was keen on the home brand ones, I guess they’re all much the same under the hood.
Breville Diamond Wave. Totally worth the price. No moving plates and parts inside which makes cleaning quite easy. Have been using for a couple years and works well.

My LG Neochef died after 3 years. Decided to just go with a 28L Kmart branded Anko. Has all the main features and only $109.
Pros: + Easy to use menu (single touch for 1-6 minutes).
Cons: - Have to press button a bit hard to open the door.
