I am in the process of deciding the perfect home office monitor for my needs. I have narrowed down the following minimum specs below:
- At least 27"
- Screen Resolution: 4k (please enlighten me if that is not necessary and I can make do with a lower res)
- Panel Type: IPS (I have read this is optimal but please enlighten me if this is not necessary)
- Features: USB-C connectivity (for a MBA M1)
- Wanting to have it VESA mounted via a c-clamp
- Budget: ~$600
Won't be doing any gaming; just browsing the internet + basic office productivity.
I keep on going back to the LG 27'' QHD Ergo IPS Monitor (27QN880-B). Just wondering if anyone has any similar suggestions or anything else they think would be worth.
Other contenders in my head:
- AOC Q32P2C 31.5" 75Hz QHD Flicker-Free IPS Monitor with USB-C
- LG 34WQ650-W 34" 100Hz UltraWide Full HD FreeSync IPS Gaming Monitor with USB-C
- HP E27u G4 27" QHD IPS Monitor With 65W USB-C
- Dell P2723DE 27" QHD 99% sRGB IPS Monitor with 90W USB-C & LAN
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
I'm pretty much in the same boat as you.
There's a couple articles that might be worth reading talking about how macOS is really designed for either QHD (1440p) or 5k monitor resolutions:

For what it's worth I've been looking down the Dell route with either the S2722DC or U2722DE
All the best with your search
