Not as good as the previous referral offer but still not a bad offer for new customers and referrers.
Also I believe delivery is free for the first order, and $1 for the rest of first month for new customers.

Get $20 (or $30) in credits when someone signs up using your referral link and places their first order over $20. Your friend also gets $20 off ($10 off each of their first 2 orders).

I always wonder if there's anyone left on OzB who still qualifies for those "first order" deals

    • Me - but I don't plan on signing up. Don't mind picking up my own food, plus don't see the point of paying for delivery.

Sign up and get from a restaurant which allows pick up. I only use doordash/uber when I nave a promotion or am drunk lol

        • Whats the benefit? Do they have deals where the meal would be cheaper to order via doordash rather than the restaurant itself?

          • +1

@Cludo: Yeh that's the only reason. Sometimes have a 50% off code, and markup isn't too bad at some places with pick up, so ends up about a 40% discount

With the old codes $15 off $20 x3, old grocery min spend $20, free Dashpass trial, 2% service fee it was great.

Used at Coles where prices are no more than in store, and got $60 worth of groceries for about $18, or at Reject Shop where groceries were super cheap.

        Barely worth it these days.

        • Yep, now it's 10% service fee + $3 small order fee. Terrible.

    • A lot of people would have new numbers from the harvey norman deal, so they can sign up as new account, spend the money and cancel.

  • Not sure if it’s updated now but I got give $20 but get $30 in credit

    • Thanks for the heads up. Mine is also $30 for referrer now, but same as before for referee. Have updated deal title

      • Pretty sure you can remove the $20 credit for referrer from the title. It's $30 credit for all referrers with new links.

  • I think it’s revised again

    • telling us to what? would help

      • Disregard my post. This morning my account showed five dollars credit for referral and referee. Now it’s back to normal 20 and 30

        • I reckon eventually it will be that give get $5 offer.

  • Rate limit exceeded error keeps coming up on Doordash website

Anyone unable to confirm cards now with this new website change?

    • taking a picture of your card you mean?

      • yes, can't get single use cards to work.

        • new problem: when logging in they have 2 factor login. However the send to email option has disappeared.

  • works w family?

    • Yes if they are a new user whose details such as email, ph no, card no, etc have not been used on dd before and their device has not been used to place an order on dd.

      • what if we share same card?

        • that will not work

          • @vinnychase: hmmm, perhaps we signup with different cards, then get credits, then switch the card?

            • @capslock janitor: Yup once you've consumed all the new user promotions you can use the common card however you cannot redeem new user promotions using a card that has been used before.

  • This is now $45 for referrer and referee for me, anyone else?

    • It’s for everyone I think but the $15 off a $20 order is not reflecting for me on the referee side at least this morning. It will probably start working soon

      • Working for me, make sure you get your new referral link as they changed.

  • Anyone else not receiving credit on a new account? New phone, email etc.

    • +1

No credit on new account, I think there is issues with their system. CS is hopeless.

      • My old link from last week, before they changed to $15 off still gives $10 off first 2 orders. Only new links not working.

  • +1

When my friend used my link to sign up last week, it was showing $15 off $20 when doing a dummy order but yesterday when she tried to place the order, the discount is gone…….

  • Using multiple numbers / referrals to test (shoddy I know) I can confirm that the referral deal for the referee (i.e. getting $15 or $10 off your your few orders) it's not showing up at all either in checkout or anywhere else and you have to go into their Live Chat AFTER you order to get your money back in Doordash credits. And that's not guaranteed, you're likely to get fobbed off 3-4 times before there's an op who'd do it for you.

So there's something going on - they likely want to phase out this referral deal given how good it is compared to Uber, Menulog etc.

    • hi, given it requires a unique payment method not used on previous accounts what payment method do you use?

      • Zip pay 1 use cards / revolut 1 use cards

        • have you used zip pay lately for 'new' doordash accounts. I had trouble recently and kept getting errors and I have heard others experiencing same.

    • even with a legit order, the discount is not appearing.

  • I can't get the WINTERWARMER30 code to work any longer.

How do you let people know when a code doesn't work so it can be taken off?

It's also worth checking the restaurant price vs the doordash price.

For an order I was looking at, the doordash price was $80 + $5 (deliver) + $10 (service fee)

With 30% off (if it had worked) that brought it down to $56 + $0 (pickup) + $10 (service fee) or $66.

The restaurant direct price was $67 - so you would save $1 in total for the same order.

Back when the pricing used to be the same there were indeed good deals but with differential pricing it's rarely a "bargain", sadly.

  • I got 2x 60% off instead of the referral bonus, took a while for it to accept the promotion but got it working on microsoft edge

  • I don't think this actually works
