Note release date of 31/12/2023
As pointed out by Trosticles, JB have an exclusive 'Pin Badge Deluxe Edition' for the same price. You would need to pay upfront to preorder from JB, but you get some pins included.
On Amazon, the Deluxe Edition was previously listed for $99. If you've already preordered you will get the lowest price. No need to pay until they're ready to ship and can cancel any time before then. It is a LONG way off.
The Hogwarts Legacy Deluxe Edition Includes: Thestral Mount, Dark Arts Battle Arena, Dark Arts Cosmetic Set
I've just preordered both and I'll check it out closer to the release date to see if I want either or both.
What is this game?
Hogwarts Legacy is an open-world action RPG set in the world rst(sic) introduced in the Harry Potter books. Embark on a journey through familiar and new locations as you explore and discover magical beasts, customize your character and craft potions, master spell casting, upgrade talents and become the wizard you want to be. Experience Hogwarts in the 1800s. Your character is a student who holds the key to an ancient secret that threatens to tear the wizarding world apart. Make allies, battle Dark wizards, and ultimately decide the fate of the wizarding world. Your legacy is what you make of it. Live the Unwritten.
There seems to be an 'Onyx Hippogriff Mount' that you get if you preorder, physical or digital copy, it may or may not include if you order the standard edition. If you don't get this I believe you get a normal hippogriff mount anyway. Should get it with the Deluxe Edition.
Standard edition is $78 on Amazon, which is pretty standard. Just select it from the deal link. Is it worth an extra $11 for deluxe? No idea.
There's a collectors edition which may not be available to preorder yet for Switch that will likely be around $500.
They're price matching JB, so you can order there as well (see Badge Pin version above for the same price). They have a similar price promise where they will refund if the price goes down, but that's a long time to tie up your money.
No ones pre-ordering a game 14 months out are they?
