On sale are these USB-C to USB-C cables that support 60W and 100W USB Power Delivery which are suitable for fast charging your phone, laptop, power bank, Switch and more. Both cables are available in the lengths of 0.25m, 1m, 2m and 3m.

They're nylon braided for extra durability and only support USB 2.0 data transfer speeds, however this has no impact on the fast charging.

  • Thanks, any deals for thunderbolt OTGs or hubs?

  • I think borders/post office has stopped shipping from aliexpress.
my orders from two months ago still have not arrive yet

nope … 3 weeks ago i recevied one from ali, exactly 1 month from purchase date. something worth $4.xx

      • damn, I have checked my tracking number, it shows the parcel arrived australia weeks ago.
I guess the post office is still holding them due to lack of workers

          There's a backlog at customs

I've received $500 worth if about 20 items over 3 deliveries in the last 7 days, ordered about 4 weeks ago.

That's why we call it AliDelay. lol

  • so if i need C to C for going from Thinkpad Dock to Thinkpad laptop (to charge the laptop at the same time output display to external monitor with one single cable), should i look for one with higher PD for charging or USB 3.0 for smooth data ? or both…

    • You'll want the USB 3.0 USB-C to USB-C cable since it has to carry data for the display. They'll normally support PD at the same time.

      • i see. just checked mine its CABLETIME USB C to USB Type-C PD 60W USB2.0 480Mbps. seems inadequate as original laptop brick charger is 65W

but i dont notice anything wrong so far maybe because i only connect 1 external monitor from the dock (capable of total 4)
alright if i see cheap usb 3.0 cable 100w i will buy it to test

        • +1

USB 2.0 would be ok for 1080p. Anything higher you'd want USB 3.0.

  • Does that mean ordinary USB C to USB C cables can't be used for power delivery or charging?

    • +1

I'm no expert, but I think you just have to be mindful of their wattage capacity. Like if you just buy one with no indication of wattage, I assume it's highly unlikely it would be 100W, therefore not enough to charge your laptop.

      But again… I'm no expert.

They can. For USB-C cables to achieve 20V/5a (100W) they need an e-marker chip.
