  • i know it's only 19$ but anyone have any experience with this?

Not great. Motor isn’t very strong and a lot of plastic parts. Ok for nose and ears but I wouldn’t want to be trimming a full beard with it.

    • bought for $24, it's great for body hair have not tested on scalp

as usual for these shavers the battery is the thing that goes first, when it does i'm thinking about opening it up and seeing if i can just replace it

  • Hopefully this can trim beards for multiple lengths.

Have used this before - actually im on my second one.
Was going to buy a third and this deal came up!
Both have lasted me around 3-4 years before the battery goes.

    • Not sure if this particular model, but there are videos on YouTube showing how easy it is to swap the battery.

$29.95 from TGG so it is not an expensive model.

thats cheaper than my haircut I got on the weekend for 32 bucks. :D

  • would it be better than this one I got a year ago?
    https://www.amazon.com.au/Remington-Multi-Functional-Persona…

    • The one in your link isn’t cordless though.

    • It's like comparing apples to oranges, you will never have issues with battery running low, losing power and failing over time.

I think I have that same unit you listed and the wife has been doing my head for a decade with it now…I doubt you will ever get that sort of life cycle from a cheap rechargeable.

this one is horrible and pulls hair… and the Remington are clippers this is a trimmer

  • Showing $37.05 on my screen.

  • Crazy how cheap they can make this stuff, not to mention the wall adapter, bag, accessories, etc. How the hell do they make any money these companies.

3rd world labour and parts costs?

    • economy of scale, they have factory lines pumping out the small metal parts which use inferior materials (but gets the job done). the accessories are plastic and are easily produced via a mold

  • anyone confirm if this pulls hair when using the clippers?

  • can I use this to trim the bush to make the tree look taller?

  • Just buy a Wahl it will last forever,
I bought one of the cheapest models 7 years ago hasn't missed a beat, haven't even had to replace the battery

    • Depends on the Wahl, Some are made in the US and others are made in China and the really cheap ones are the Chinese made ones and have quality issues. The more pricey US made ones are killers and last for ages and cut really well. I have both, The US one still going strong for ages , while the cheaper one that i had bought like several years later , died. ( I didnt realise at the time that they had moved factories for the cheaper models)

  • Do yourself a favour and get a Philips Beard Trimmer 3000 or 5000… can use plugged into wall or charges fully in 1 hour. Other brands' trimmers only work after charging for 8+ hours

  • I have had one of these. Lasted about 1 or 2 years. Parts are pretty cheap quality. Battery was fine, but don't expect a decent trim. I found it only worked best when trimming at a longer length where changes in length were less noticeable. I took care of mine and cleaned it and many of the attachments fell apart from normal usage after a while. Probably best to hold out for a better quality one. I got one of the cheaper Philips trimmers and it's fantastic. Can trim at any length and can give you a fairly close shave if you want to leave light stubble (which I prefer).
