  • i can't find the wii console in the catalogue!

  • Page 75, bottom right corner :)

  • hey is that 10.1 inch tablet any good?

    • Looks pretty cheap, there's not much in the way of specs in the catalogue except:

      • 4GB expandable memory
      • Android 4.0
      • Front facing camera
      • Internet browsing through wifi (no shit!)
      • 1GB RAM
      • HDMI/USB/Headphone jack
      • "Great for playing videos and games"

I'm not sure what processor's in it. Maybe when the stock comes in I'll have a look at the manual for one of these.

Nice price though for a 10"

      • thanks :)

      • Re "I'm not sure what processor's in it."
Just typical no ones does however…

I was given a number for their (Kmart's) company that deals with this product for returns warranty and I hope to have that information emailed to me tomorrow 26 June 2012 will post after I get it RE GPU and CPU. That is if they email the info.

Anyway I while on the phone I detaied my concerns (Also to Kmart.) that their claim "Good for games" could render their product "Unfit for perpose". As the customer is unable to know what these two important items are. Thus some games may not run as the CPU or GPU or both may not be any good for a perticular game.
And as no details re GPU or CPU have not been provided regardless of age the item may be returned for an unfit for purpose item due to failure to disclose that information before sale.

        • Dude, K-Mart does returns anyway. No need to threaten them, they'd happily exchange it if you told them that it doesn't play the games you're after. Just hang on to everything that's in the box and the receipt.

Anyway, are there many games on the Google Play store that require a remotely decent GPU? Everyone tells me that the chip in my Xperia Play is shithouse and outdated, but it seems to play GTA4, ps1 and N64 emulators fine. And that is with a single core CPU.

  • Sorry unable to give info as expected was let down by promised that they would email me info today.
Hmm bit like the liar in the lodge syndrome.

@tborsj Dude I respect the fact that you use an Xperia Play and if your happy with it regardless of what others say. Good for you. I have a couple of working (Rarely used now days.)Apple 2C's yeah old tech before they went up themselves. (Subject to personal opinion I used to have great respect for them but sadly that went a long time ago.)

Sorry I have a tendency to come across overbearing while writing especially when tired. I pointed out that the lack of specifications was a flaw for IT products especially for any type of IT device that can not be verified with no model or anything else.

Audiosonic head office in Europe won't help either as the stuff that is branded with their name in Australia has NOTHING to do with them as the brand name in Australia is used for generic goods. I rang them up and that's what I got told bit more complicated than that due to international laws re companies names where they are or are not registered to trade with their name in different countries etc etc etc.

Some may look at the fact companies are less than useless wasting customers time to buy a device then check it out to see what the specs that should have been provided prior to purchase are. The take it back to waste more time at service desk wasting the staffs time (Even though that's what they get paid for.) to do the refund.

The reality is that most retailers do not know and don't care so why bother giving information as most people see and buy without thinking or caring about what they are buying. So companies sell crap to the unknowing and everyone else that wants to know to make an educated purchase have to waste time and money that could be put to better use or put up with crap. And while in store you'll most likely buy more anyway.

The bottom line is THEY DON'T care so why not educate them to care?
LOL that would be like getting a certain person there will never be ……….. under my government then a week later went back on the statement.

  • +1

Here's the specs as per the back of the box, if you were interested:

  • Thanks I went in store and checked it out. Thanks for posting pic.
Certainly lacks graphics res compared to other current 10" overpriced for what it is.

    A little better with 16GB 10" at http://www.kogan.com/au/buy/10-inch-tablet-pc-android-16gb/

I'll wait although a 7" has quad core 8GB for $199US (Hopefully in AU they will not screw us on price like some other companies. At least I may have a way of beating overpricing should they do so.) and $249US for 16GB (Worst case scenario based on my bank exchange rate today at 1:08Pm the 16GB $235.71AU without transfer fees or shipping.)
Any statements about the google's new nexus-7 tablet may be subject to change beyond my control.

    http://www.gizmodo.com.au/2012/06/this-is-googles-new-nexus-…

    They both contain:
    1.3Ghz quad-core Tegra 3 processor
    GeForce 12-core GPU
1GB of RAM with two different storage variants: 8GB and 16GB.
The screen is an IPS display with a 178-degree viewing angle, running a resolution of 1280×800.
The device will also sport a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera.
The battery will also give you nine hours worth of operation.

Please read comment on bottom of page on link above.
However during research came across a pre release item from ASUS (ASUS is making the NEXUS.) that was fast had the 1.3Ghz quad-core Tegra 3 etc etc, then vanished no date given for release for ASUS branded item their are rumours that it was the NEXUS-7 being shown to get potential interest.

  • Did anyone got lucky and able to grab this??
