    1. Fake RRP - theres's no way this ever would be worth $159
    2. Just like many of the previous posts, the pricing is more than my local butcher. (don't use the "better quality" argument either.)

    Another quality Suttons Ozbargain ad.

    • Another UN quality Suttons Ozbargain ad. :(

    • So you didn't go to their website and calculate each item individually then did you?

      • Didn't need to?

From what I can tell, if this post gets a -8 net score, there will be a performance based ban

      Neg for deceptive/misleading pricing

Can we see a price breakdown to justify the 'was' price.

I've done some rough calculations (being very generous with $/KG) and there's no way this could be worth $159.

$99 seems reasonable, but quoting an inflated 'was' price is shady.

Can we see a price breakdown to justify the 'was' price.

      No

Rep posts and logs out straight away. It's just SPAM.

Deal was posted 10 hrs ago, Rep last seen 10hrs ago.

This doesn't appear to be a bargain, more like using this website for free advertising again.
Professionals can see through the fake jacked up (Was $159).

    • -1

Yes, you can just go to their website and check each item separately. I did? It was easy.

  • Wow that must be some expensive meat. Either on par with similar meats you can get from woolies if you bought individually or discount is very minimal.

  • +1

    RRP is outrageous!
Seems to be a history of spamming ozb too.

Petition to ban bad posters like this.

I came up to $90 being generous from Coles and Woolies. That doesn't take into account any specials. NO DEAL.

  • -1

Odd vger. I came up with $75 at woolies without the backstrap, with the free range chicken per kilo on special.
The cheapest lamb backstrap I found on a google search was a ridiculously cheap $25 per kg. (clearly Woollies don't stock this)

This takes it to $100. And tbh the steak and pork quality at Suttons are well above Woolies quality.

Also out of curiousity I checked the price of each item on Suttons website and it came to a price of 159.65. So it isn't a false price saving? Though the beef skewers at 23.99 are expensive.

    • Price jack the RRP's all you want, it's not a bargain.

      • -1

You've never shopped at a local butcher? I don't know any that costs the same as Woollies. And I refuse to buy meat at Woollies if I can help it. Just sayin. The entire butcher industry cleary jack RRP's if that's your point?

        • It's the same price as my local butcher?
          And cheaper at Coles?

          • @Drakesy: Same price as woollies it was
Butchers in Brisbane northside always cost 30% more than Woollworths.

            • @Piko: Just need to see the score and read the room to see that this isn't the case.

              • -3

@Drakesy: Yah I guess some people like boar tainted pork from Woollies for the same price. A good butcher will usually cost 50% more than woollies, But this is ozbargain! so I guess flavour isn't as important as savings! :D

  • bad deal…

  • I'll leave the discussion around the prices to others; my 'beef' is with the use of the words "Mini Pack" for what seems to be an awful lot of meat.

The community has spoken again Sutton needs to go and advertise their dud deals somewhere else. We’ve had a gut full of this rubbish.
