Why
It can cause serious trauma to your ears. Also, if you're attempting to remove wax, it's more likely that you're going to push it into your ear and impact it rather than assist you with any removal.
I use shower-head, in the shower of course.
Irrigate Purposely fill my ears with water as needed (it's like a massage), then tilt my head back to let it all drain out, bloody cheap too. And softening the wax, then coming in w a bobbypin if it's got that itch ;)
I keep hearing this, but what's the alternative?

If you are inclined to stick cotton tips in your ears regardless of all the warnings my personal recommendation are the Japanese made ones.

yes, brought them from Daiso but is more expensive.

Yes, agreed with this, but mines worst, came in the Amazon white bubble enveloped, it was crushed and the whole buds scattered.
