MAS is great imo. Shame they don't do happy hour anymore.
Also Chapter Two espresso next to Cubic might not look like much but great coffee. At least it used to be about a year ago when I worked in the area. Would go most mornings.
Iconic the coffee is still very good though not my absolute favourite, but the vibe out the back is really peaceful, love it.
Try Marco Polo, Edward, Anytime Coffee, Coffee Anthology, John Mills Himself, or Single Guys.
Lot of fancy places , can imagine soon coffee still be over 5 bucks then 6 and eventually a tenner lol
They did ask for good coffee, not cheap coffee. And to be fair, it’s kind of amazing that coffee only costs $3-$5 given the extensive journey its constituent parts have taken.
@Ozymandias: Yeah not saying isn't good, but don't like that it's closer to $5 than $3 these days and will only keep going up in price. Inflation is a thing but they'll continue to increase the price if people keep paying it.

Kilo of medium roast beans at Aldi is only $13 - great for home.
Used to get other stuff like Bellissimo but most bags are now 40-50$ around the place, bit hard to justify.

They no longer do this as of last week I believe
It’s still advertised on their instagram so I’m going to go down today and see.
They’ve taken the board away last week and there was a sign on it just before they took it away saying ‘last day’.
Looks like they have replaced it with a pastry/sweet and coffee for $7 like most other cafes in the CBD. Guess times are tough for everyone.
There was a cafe in CBA on Queen St that did half price coffee happy hour too, might be worth checking out to see if they still do it.

What's the coffee like? I struggle to find anything decent (besides Cubic & Blackstar) in the CBD.
