  • Does this include a self cleaning option? I like the idea of a power mop but they do need a fair bit of effort after each use.

Edit: yep it self cleans, it's in the punctuation free product description.

    • unrelated but we have a hizero with a self cleaning mode but, you still need to do a deep clean which is an absolute pain in the ass. Still trying to find out what the deep clean for the tineco s5 pro is like but all I can find is "it self cleans" … does it actually though? lol

      • this one is the same. you have to deep clean manually

        • Thanks for the info, I might just go back to the idea of a robo vac with mopping capability.

        • I find it doesn't need much time to clean after each use, simply raise the dirty tank and mop cover then let them dry before putting back.

      • The deep clean i do after each use:

        1. Empty the dirty water comaprtment and temove all the hair/solid stuffs that are sucked into it
        2. Take off the brush and just hang it outside near my laundry trough
        3. Use toilet paper to wipe the area around the brush to pick up some pet hair that didn't get sucked by the self-clean cycle

I only deep clean after i mop the whole house. If i just do spot mopping, i usually dont do this

I haven't used this to clean up messy spill, bit i figured if i do i would do a deep clean as well.

  • can you use this without having to buy the cleaning formula? can i just use something like dettol?

    • In general Tineco or Bissell recommend their own solution because their solution do not generate foam whereas the usual floor cleaning solutions generate foam that can damage the internals of these machines…

      I'm still using the Bissell's owns for now until i find a non-foamy alternative…

      • I have some Agar Chemicals low foam carpet cleaner which i put in my carpet cleaner and will use in my cross wave when the Bissell stuff runs out.

  • +1

I bought 1 less than 2 years ago from the good guys with golden service. Now I am using the second replacement. the first one leaking and can't suck water within 8 month the second one battery dead just more than 1 year. fortunately I bought golden service, I can just get a replacement straight away from the good guys.

  • Has anyone tried any non OEM brushes or filters for the CrossWave?

  • Fyi, this is the F version (i have this one) that comes with one type of roller brush. I paid $456.73 delivered last month from Goodguys ebay.

There is a G version that is exclusive to Godfreys that come with extra brushes.
