This 100 percent
This is currentl;y the gold standard in miniled Tvs for under 3000 dollars
None, get Sony, LG or Samsung
Nonsense, I am perfectly happy with my two year old Hisense, has also gotten many updates and solved many issues. All the Samsung, lg, and Sonys at the same price point are not worth it.
this not the tcl can u get a worse brand?
is this last yr model? thought these were selling under 1k not long ago …
This is supposed to be an amazing tv in US reviews
The issue has been whether Au customers get the same TV specwise.
Unfortunately I don't think so. The AU model has VIDAA U6 for it's OS. Where's the US model has Google TV. Probably a few other things as well.
Not by choice
Hisense is locked out legally from having GOOGLE OS here and in almost all asian markets,No idea why..but it's a thing..
Heads up
This is possibly the best TV in australian history for that price point
It trades blows with sony LED flagships
That hisense,Is better than the Sony x95 miniled
If it is in fact the same backlight as the US model, then it's a nearly perfect Miniled

Tl;Dr
Minimal blooming, fast backlight, and over 1700 nits in HDR
I have seen it. Dark Colours seem faded. No where near X95k. Haha
This might be one of those bait-and-switch Hisense moves where they use the same model number in Australia but with different specs.
Edit: After seeing the Reddit thread below, that definitely seems like the case.

$40 more if don’t have Costco membership. Sometimes they price match if ask nicely live chat
Should wait for Black Friday?
Based on this thread, Hisense is still being very dodgy. I avoid Hisense TVs. They may be good in the US, but they like to scam Australians.

Hisense sending B grade models and inferior panels to Australia again hoping people get confused with US reviews
This is the U8HAU, not the U8H reviewed in the US
Actual local reviews here - https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/thread/3246j1zv?p=7#r140
US spec sheet lists 336 FALD zones - https://assets.hisense-usa.com/assets/ProductDownloads/448/6…
AU spec sheet lists nothing - https://hisense.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/55U8HAU_Sp…
Lol ULED QLED.
Garbage name for a garbage product.
Terrible price B grade crap. Do not buy.
It'd be nice if Costco imported the American model..
I don't understand why there are still people recommending Hisense on here when they give Australians crap panels and OS compared to US. I won't buy them just out of principle.
So are we paying a lot less for a grade B crap compared with the one sold in US? Or just Hisense takes us as a fool?
This is how they got a name for themselves in Australia. They originally used panels from reputable manufacturers then once they gained a foothold in the market, they started manufacturing their own panels which are plain and simply trash.
Don't buy Hisense tv's in Australia. I got burnt 2 years ago, I read all the reviews but they do a bait and switch and I ended up paying for a crap tv.
This or TCL C835? Looking for a cheap but decent bedroom TV :/
