I wonder if they thinned it out too much to make it easier to apply or not sufficient prep.
Is it a rough finish like you expected? What does it look like under where it has come away?
You might want to take it up with the professionals who applied it , maybe they can give you another couple of coats , or a least touch it up.
It looks like bare metal where it came away. They sanded back the tub before applying the undercoat then topcoat.
I note they now no longer sell the product at the store I bought it from. Most people DIY.
I would have thought the undercoat would still be adhered to the metal , either they didn't sand it well enough or they've thinned it too much or used cheap thinner.
Maybe Google Raptorcoat Problems to get a clue to what's gone wrong , but sounds like they rushed the prep work.
Otherwise if you're throwing star pickets into the back or something similar, that might happen.
I have never used this product, but I was looking too before I heard this.
I've seen stoneguard chip , but its an easy touchup , that might be all that's needed.
