Looks like they're really trying to get rid of this model since the 7 has come in. I've been eyeing this for a while for my brother's birthday and glad I found something reasonable.
Think the cashback is ending tonight but the $649 sale is until the end of the month.
It did get tracked and I got $70 pending in my account. The price beat was automatically applied as a voucher and not through chat/email/phone which I'm assuming is what makes it ineligible according to the T&Cs "negotiated deals (phone/email/chat)". Please correct me if I'm wrong!
I wonder if the voucher is considered a code though.

It's very rare for cashback to get declined due to codes used, despite what the Cashrewards page says. You can usually use unlisted codes with no issue.

Reading the CR post, i got the impression the 629 price beat would classify as a negotiated deal hence ineligible for cashback.
