Not last gen - PlayStation 4 only does regular blu-ray.

The standalone unit I picked up for 5 at the recyclers and paid 12 for a universal remote works like a charm. total cost 17 dollars
I bought a dedicated player to do Dolby Vision on discs. Xbox One S or PS5 wouldn't do it. You have to pay to have features like that.
Simple. Niche product
On top of that they're primarily aimed towards the hi-fi crowd so add a premium on for that too.
Get a cheap One S they're about $150ish on market place
Very niche product, moreso than DVD or even regular Blu-ray ever were.
Cash converters usually have some good bargains that's where I got my Panasonic 4k player for $100
Sell for $350 New at apppliances online
Do you have a PlayStation or Xbox games console? Current and last gen are decent 4K BluRay players.
