Revolut if you need free disposable card numbers.

      • +1

Be careful with that. I had to take my money out of my account because I still got charged multiple times on disabled AND cancelled card.
Even more than a month after the card was cancelled.

        • I just transfer from Up to Revolut with the amount needed, only leaving a dollar.

@Jimbuscus: That's the way to do it.
If you expect a charge of <$20 then don't keep $20 - Revolut will take your money if it can (regardless of card cancelled/frozen).
I raised a support ticket and got some BS that "the date provided by the company that charged the card was prior to me cancelling …"
I was lucky that I subscribed to "yearly" paramount and the charge was +/- $89 but only had $50. Revolut started sending notifications that I needed to add more money to my account, when I queried why they said there's a charge pending on my cancelled card.

      • i've thankfully never had a problem with the single-use zip pay card.

        • Same for (Transfer)Wise - no issues there.

  • Only if this provides also British news.

If you're really into British programs, I'd highly recommend a VPN. We've got the Chromecast with google tv and Nord VPN, and then installed bbc Iplayer, itv hub and access all 4 via an admittedly clunky webbrowser and haven't looked back. Even get the UK adverts which is a refreshing change!

    • How do you sign up to a TV licence without a UK address?

      • +2

You dont really need the address to get catch up TV; you need a postcode and thats it. Admittedly, you technically need to have the TV licence (even for catch up TV i.e. on demand) but the broadcasters wont ask for that info; they assume you are doing the right thing when you indicate YES to the question as part of signing up for an account (the BBC asks but cant recall if ITV or Channel 4 do).

        • The TV licence is because of BBC and no ads. The other channels get their revenue through adverts. Probably why we don't have a TV licence here, adverts every 3 minutes for 6 minutes during movies!!!

    • Would that mean you are able to watch the English premier league? Just looking at other options since optus did the price increase.

      • +5

No the premier league is shown on Sky Sports and BT Sport in the UK. Neither are on BritBox. Have a look at Vidio in Indonesia for the premier league at a reasonable price.

        • Thank you for your help :)

  • Thanks OP. Lots of freebie streaming deals over last few months - Binge, Disney and now Britbox.

  • Sweet, Im in it for the comedies! Has lots of my old favs.

  • Season 3 of Detectorists!

  • Great timing, was looking for older Doctor Who seasons

Taskmaster: Sorry, the van broke down.

Have I got News for You: Not as such…

Mock the Week: There's not much call for that around here Sir!

Still, a lot of good stuff but there are at least three contenders for the title missing:-/
