NSW Public Holiday Parking Rules

Wondering if anyone knows the rules for parking near signs like this on a public holiday ?
Both of these are together

1P mon-fri 10 am to 3 pm

6 am to 10 am
3 pm to 7 pm
Mon-Fri
Clearway

Today being a Monday but public holiday would the below rule still apply ?

Surprisingly I can't find anything clearly mentioned on the service nsw or maritime websites.

Thanks !

    (3) If information on a traffic control device that is at a place indicates that it applies on a particular day of the week, the device does not have effect on a day that is a public holiday for the place unless information on the device states otherwise.

    • I didn't know that, always assumed you were at risk of being booked.

    • You probably need to be aware of the parking conditions for a Sunday. This is the closest to a public holiday in terms of how hey want to manage parking.

Not saying that they can legally apply Sunday rules (unless it says somewhere in the legislation) but it might be what a parking inspector would consider - and I’d rather comply to the spirit if he parking rules rather than have to deal with a ticket I thought was unjust.

    Yes, lots of people know.

  • check the pay machine. usually they will refuse payment when not required.

    • There are no parking meters on this one..this one is upto 1 hour free parking.

  • Depends where in NSW you park. City of Sydney and beach councils will book you on public holidays.

Sydney City Council earns around $40 million a year from parking fines.
