  • Anyone know why the “join now” button doesn't work o the repco ignition sign up?

  • I found a store with stock but it’s saying item doesn’t qualify for delivery and only giving me click and collect option. Any idea what to do?

Having similar finding store that will ship to NSW. Anyone have any postcodes that could get it shipped?

    • Griffith NSW 2680 was the answer for me. Hopefully my several minutes of random internet postcode hopping saves someone else time.

      • Sold out in Griffith - thanks anyway :-)

        • No worries, I guess the stock is getting ozbargained so keep trying I guess. Not sure if going into a Repco will lead to them being able to find stock for you?

That was going to be my next step.

  • Thanks op bought last 2 off road bottles at local repco.

  • if you can't find this product, I made a post about some other car wash products on sale @ Repco here

  • Thanks! Just ordered the offroad one.

Anyone got a post code near where it’s in stock? I’ve tried the posted area codes above but they are sold out now.

    • Some around the gold coast a few hours ago.
Can't tell where you are from your profile so don't know if this helps.

    • Palmerston NT

      • Sold out now unfortunately. I’m at work and couldn’t check right up. Oh well. Thank you though.

  • Would the off road stuff be just as good as the standard?

    • I’m going to go off on a limb and say yes.

      • I assumed it was. Just curious what the difference might be.

        • The colour.

  • Thanks OP. Good find. Bought the off-road version.
Should be good enough for regular cars, but also have a 4wd. Better than the treatments they get now which is nothing.

  • There's one Hydrosilex Off-road left at Repco in Labrador Qld as of 10 minutes ago

  • Just got one in Palmerston NT - paid for shipping to VIC.

    • My order from Palmerston 14 hours ago, not long after this post, just got refunded.
On the plus side, Repco was super quick with the funds being credited back ASAP

      • Actually, just noticed they didn't refund the freight cost.
        What the….

        • After 5 phone calls backwards and fwds, between myself and my local repco store and the store which the order was placed with, finally resulted in me getting my frieght costs refunded.

  • Even when I find a store that has stock, I add it to my cart and says "Your cart does not qualify for home delivery".

  • Just got refunded..

  • Alice Springs seems to have some if that helps anyone.

  • A couple of offroad versions still avail at Belconnen (ACT) …

  • Just ordered one Delivery from Burnie TAS despite OOS tag on this post.. we will see if it gets cancelled

  • What's everyone's order status saying?

    Mine says "ready for delivery"

Hopefully that means they haven't sold out.

I ordered a few other things and I'll be annoyed if they cancel the ceramic coating and only ship the others. Won't be worth the shipping fee

    • If you managed to put in an order online, you should be fine. It didn't allow me to order more from my local repco last night since i got the last one so the system picked it up and my order was ready pretty much start of the day

      • I ordered last night, very shortly after post was posted here, this morning I received refund email and refund. (Minus freight charge, which was later rectified after many calls)

    • Mine says in progress and they sent me a 'quote' email

  • I ordered one to ship to Sydney CBD, but I don't want it now…

    • Why not?

      • I got the offroad version too. You're welcome to take it.

    • Just returned to the Kawana QLD store today

  • Thinking rubbing some tyreshine onto the paint may work as well as this $89? "ceramic coat" .
Even at $28 I'm dubious after watching the obviously sponsored YouTube reviews , and the guy who owns this company , I don't know but it's not ceramic coat , if silicon based and washes off after 2-3 cleans.
    Kinda hoping order gets cancelled
Anyone off their p-plates can explain why I'm wrong .
Just seems like marketing hype to me , and more work.
    Update :-
Check out CarCareReviews.net for an honest review .

  • Or 'Auto Detailing Podcast' for a video review on YouTube for this Si02 Hydrosilex product.
    Not Good.

    Anyway cancelled order
    Happy chappie

  • Bought click and collect in Friday night, didn’t hear anything yesterday but just got refunded, VIC Hoppers Crossing

  • just got a dispatch notice. it's being sent by toll

  • Bought a bottle of Turtle Wax ICE Seal N Shine a few months back, how much better is this?

  • -1

    Hopeless…unavailable almost everywhere.

  • Mothers Ceramic CMX is superb

  • Local store delivered mine directly.

Washed the car with dish washing liquid and will give it a coating later

    • Did a polish with random Orbital polisher, then did a wipe with isopropyl alcohol.

      Applied the ceramic coating.

Time will tell if it's any good.

      It applied easily.

I've used Mr Fox 9h ceramic coating before and was impressed with that.
Also regularly use Meguiar's ceramic spray wax

  • I received a phone call from my local store that it's arrived but that it seems odd/suspicious and they want to discuss it with me when I pick it up.
Any ideas why? Is this because they've realised it was sold too cheap and want to talk me out of it?

    • Aaaaaand? What happened?

      • Ratsackgamer MIA. That's a lengthy discussion, perhaps still held at Repco under suspicious circumstances

        • I missed a call from the store I ordered a and have since had my order cancelled and refunded

  • Has anyone received a notification for order being shipped yet?

    • Yeah I received it on the day it was delivered. I was literally reading the email notification when the delivery person knocked on the door

      • Did you order from local store or from store from another state? I had to select a store in QLD as it was out of stock in NSW. My order status is "Ready for Delivery" since order date.

        • +1

I ordered from a store in Victoria but it wasn't my local one. It would've been a fairly decent drive for them to deliver it to me from their store.

  • +1

My got cancelled and refunded. Ordered way early here from QLD

    • I reckon my order will have the same fate.

  • +1

    Picked mine up yesterday afternoon.

  • fyi, just watch out as it seems these bottles unscrew quite easily.
I checked it was screwed tight placed it on my back seat and down to 20% left when i got home.
Bit pissed off, but glad i didnt pay full price.

  • Ordered 2 bottles
    Only one came!
Bottle is half opened all leaked out!
    Damaged box + empty bottle.

Called them no stock full refund….. not happy

    • So half bottle free….

      • There’s like 50mls left mixed with rain water. So I wouldn’t say half bottle free lol just gonna chuck if.

        • It*

I also ordered 2 but received only on. The product is crystallized on the top as well. Not sure If I will get a refund. Have emailed pictures to the store.

  • +1

How long for delivery since order? Haven't got any email besides the initial confirmation

  • My bottle arrived, but has started crystallising inside the bottle at the top. Must've been sitting around for a long time.

    • same here, not sure if I should use it on my car.

    • Same, it's crystallised and got bits in it. I'm not going to risk it on car paint.

Repco order status was pending for the last week. Called Repco they said I should have been refunded, however no refund came through. Hopefully Paypal buyer protection for the win.

  • The 500ml version is on 'sale' for 38.25$ at this moment.

  • Anyone got a chance to use it yet and provide feedback on the products effectiveness

    • Mine is still in transit since 4th Oct

      • +1

Same as mine. I called up the store and got a refund. They agreed that it was unlikely to arrive and that toll has most likely lost it.

  • Called Repco today and after a bit of back and forth they told me the order has been cancelled this morning and I will receive a refund in a few days time.

  • Reporting back on hair good this product is.

I own a black car and everyone who owns a black car knows how quickly they get dirty, particularly if driven in the rain.

So I usually avoid driving in the rain because the car gets filthy.

Took the car out in the rain the other day and when I came back home it was sparkling clean.

The ceramic coating kept it looking like it was freshly detailed.

    Great stuff. Thanks again OP!

    • Can you describe how you used the product?

As a final layer after a wash? Or did you put another sealant on top?

      • +1

Just wash and dry the car then spray onto the panel, spread/rub with a microfiber cloth, then buff dry with a second dry microfiber cloth.

Mine has only been on the car for about a week but so far the result has been better than I expected.

      • +1

        Performed paint correction first.

Then wash with dishwashing liquid to strip any existing waxes

        Then isopropyl wipe down

Then applied ceramic spray by spraying on and buffing off
