Suggested No cashbackNeither. Don't like cashback schemes that sometimes work, sometimes don't and the unconscious effect they inevitably have on your decision making. Also doesn't work well with anti-cookie tracking add-ons anyway.
I love them because I gouge the shite out of them for the refer a friend. I'm up almost $200 on referrals.

Depends what you're after.
Cheddar is targeted at GenZ and has very specific offerings to them.
CR is more generic.

Ive used it twice simply because they offered me $50 the first time and $25 to " come back".
Once approved I cash out never to look at it again. I expect it will end up the same as JamJar or whatever that sad attempt at competition was called…(I am of course joking, it was pretty painful to get it sorted initially and once I cashed out the initial I haven’t really been bothered to go back).
Bascialy the newest player on the block.
Get them while they burn the VC money.

I do not use either but CashRewards has a better reputation and there is an associated member here who takes care of complaints - from the outside it looks like they tend to get resolved
Gyb for shopback looked after me last time I had issue with SB - though both camps have their fair share of people with issues against both companies.
I have $1200 on SB and $500 on CR. I find SB has better deals + bonuses for what I'm shopping for and I much prefer their app, but both are great and both have reps on here who are very active and helpful. No real negatives about either apart from the occasional transaction not tracking which has happened with both of them but was resolved pretty quickly

Whichever one gives me a higher cashback for the particular site I am buying from.
They are not mutually exclusive.
Sb's email customer service is infuriating. Stock standard copy paste without reading what you have to say - I would send a whole screen recording of my transaction and it wasn't proof enough. The Ozb rep would usually end up crediting though. They do seem to have better cb overall though if you don't count upsizes. Tracking used to be pretty bad but it has gotten better this year.
I feel CR has a better customer service, and they do seem to have more bonus deals and free pizza huts 🍕
Would prefer to skip all the middlemen and just buy direct from the manufacturer for their best price.

I've been using shopback for a while, but recently I keep encountering issues with them.
Their customer support is terrible, always say don't worry, we'll get it sorted asap, but had to wait for months to actually get resolved.
Latest issue that I have with them is the in-store cashback, I can't even lodge a proper missing cashback claim for it.
I'm more inclined to use other sites first now (cashrewards or cheddar maybe), who knows what other issues will be encountered with shopback later on.
CR is like PlayStation as ShopBack and Cheddar is like Xbox.
Shopback has a game in the app called cashback troopers.
Very interactive and rewarding.
