G-Shock Rangeman. I would prefer to wear a smart watch but being a PE teacher, it'll probably crack in a week.
I tried a Samsung smartwatch for awhile but it is just a pain, constant charging, tiny screen, screen turns off and doesn't show time unless you move and might as well just take your phone out of your pocket. Just went back to digital Casios way better.
Seiko 2nd Gen Monster.
I just look at sun during day time to guess đ
I have 2 automatics for events, a limited ed numbered one from a crowdfunding campaign and a chunky square Bell & Ross that I prefer a bit less.
I sleep wearing a gear s3 frontier for the alarm.
I don't really wear watches most other times, but have a few citizen / seiko ones I bought from the Starbuy deals here that sit on a shelf…
Casio G-Shock GMWB5000GD-1
I loved watchnerds cheap watch deals. Have a few naviforce, Fitbit, skagan g shock.
I like my skagan as it's a hybrid smart watch with a cuff made with tan leather.
Usually I wear my Fitbit as I work in Andreas that I can't hear my phone most days.
HMT - Mechanical Handwind. I am a sucker for vintage watches with vintage movements.
Rolex Explorer day-to-day. My beater is a G Shock 5600 solar.
I wear fleshlight duloco temzas
Casio G-Shock Mudman G9300

Had it for 10 years and it's never missed a beat. Solar charging and have never had to change batteries, gives me a compass bearing when I need it, and has a raised edge so the glass is protected for rough and tumbles.
I like the idea of a 'smart watch', but the durability is a big concern. Plus I like the chunky look.
Apple Watch Ultra.
I also have Apple Watch Series 5 and a Series 7 to swap when charging or sleeping.
I have countless Swiss and Japanese watches that have been collecting dust.
Most people use their phone nowadays, but I've been wearing watches since I was a little kid in primary school and didn't get a mobile device to tell time until I was about 17. I don't really need one, but I just like to have one.
Solar
ive got a whole watch box full, but im lazy now and rarely wear any of them
I'm torn at the moment between my love for quality mechanical watches and the new Apple Watch Ultra.
My favourite watch is my Rolex 16610, followed closely by an Omega PO and a bunch of other great mechanicals such as the not so well known 36,000bph Seiko Lord Marvels which are beautiful dress watches (and have such a great name).
But the Apple Watch Ultra hasn't been off my wrist for a week except for charging. I had a Apple Watch Series 3 in the past which I didn't like, but the Ultra looks great and the functionality is awesome. Really appreciating all the health tracking.
I think if you genuinely benefit from a smart/fitness watch, it only makes sense to keep using it. Wear your nice watches when you go out.
Wear nice watch on you normal wrist and Apple watch on the other!
I thought about that but I don't like the look myself. Continue to be happy wearing the Apple Watch Ultra. Maybe I will get tired of the novelty and move back to my 'normal' watches in time. The biggest issue with the Ultra is its height above the wrist which makes it difficult to wear with most of my business shirts. The cuff's don't easily accomodate the Ultra and so they tend to bunch up above it on the arm which isn't the best.
whats the time
Would you like that with or without daylight savings?
galaxy watch active2
Apple Watch is the only way I pay for things these days. I love performing acrobatics when the eftpos is in an awkward place.
Fitbit. I originally won a Versa 2 at Time Zone and then purchased a Versa 3 for Google Assistant.
TicWatch E3 that I received for free from the HIIT challenge they did back in July/August of 2021. Had it replaced under warranty once for an issue that was only minor and not unusable by any stretch of the imagination. Brilliant watch, more than happy to daily drive it.
First smartwatch I have owned and I am quite impressed.
Tissot PRX quartz daily, Garmin for fitness
I mostly rotate through a few mechanical watches: Rolex 126613LN, Omega Speedy (3861 movement), Cartier Santos, and a Tissot PRX Powermatic. Have a couple classic Casio watches too - a must in every collection.
Iâve got the Tissot T0064282203801 for daily at the moment. I think it was ~A$550 from Amazon US. Mechanical and really surprised with the quality. Classy with sapphire crystal, smaller size as well.
I have a few Swiss watches, however end up back with my Apple due to the notifications. I kind wish I didn't.
I find watches to be a waste of time, I always have a phone with me or looking at PC, or car dashboard.
When I was younger I had to tell gf's not to buy me them as presents cos I had a drawer full
lol.. waste of time. How would you know?
I wear my Folex Daytona
Citzen Ecodrive Watches
Bulova Precisionist.
citizen Eco drive u706-s070686 as my daily watch. I have worn Apple, Samsung, Fossil smart watches but nothing could give me the aesthetics that a traditional watch does.
My cheapo Moonswatch
Been using a Seiko turtle for a few years.
Bought a Fitbit 5 thinking I could use it without my phone for cycling/running, unfortunately the HR sensor and GPS are garbage (not to mention battery life), sold the FB5 and back to the turtle. No watch. I wore one for a year in high school because the school I went to that year had no bells or anything so you were just expected to be at the right class at the right time but other than that I just cannot stand wearing one. That was back at a time before phones were common place and everyone had one.
Now days I just look at my phone if I need to know the time.
I like the look of watches but don't think I would ever spend the money on one given I would hate wearing it, it would essentially be a fashion accessory.
Solar (eco-drive)
I have a seiko zen garden that I bought from a starbuy deal here.
It's quite nice and I love looking at it, particularly when the sun shines on it.
As for telling the time, I use my phone most of the time.
Mi Band 7, fantastic watch for the money.
Just curious maybe someone in the ozb wearing a omega seamaster 007 edition?
Seamaster but not 007.
OP from QLD = Daylight Saving Envy. lol
Big fan of mechanical watches but have switched to smart watch for convenience, and cost saving.
BB58 - love it.
Just bought the Huawei watch gt 3, so far I loving it.
Huawei GT 2.
There should be a separate option for "WD / Fossil"
You want a Hublot tier?
Well said.
Yes daddy
I had an Apple Watch for years but realised I didn't use it to its full potential because I was silencing notifications more & more, so figured it was a waste for even that alone. I've gone to a mechanical automatic that I splurged on, but absolutely love and wear daily. It's really comfortable to wear (in all seasons), does what I want (tells time!), and I still get a good feeling about the reasons I bought it (long story).
Hamilton Khaki Field Automatic
I personally despise wearing watch just because I don't like the feeling of having something on my wrist
How can a watch or smart watch possibly make my life richer or better at all by having them on my wrist? Genuine question.
Do you people wear them at home as well?Canât speak for others but I only wear watch for work.
I've been wearing a wristwatch since I was 12, so feel naked without one. Worn at home, even to sleep. It's easier, quicker, and less obtrusive to check the time by glancing at your wrist than taking a phone out of your pocket or reach for the bedside table. Always-on displays have helped this somewhat, but it's additional friction for something I do dozens, if not hundreds, of times per day.
I wear a Withings Smart watch. I wanted a watch that had some smarts but still looked like a watch. This one fit that bill.
I've worn my mechanical Tags and Tissots once or twice since I got the Apple Watch series 4.
Rolex datejust 36 gold
Grand seiko snowy
Bought one is 2005 going strong.
Apple Watch for Apple Pay availability.
Waiting to spot the Bugatti Chiron Blue Sapphire on Cashrewards
I wear a Garmin Fenix 6 Pro all the time
Everyday watch Tag Aquaracer Calibre S
Going out is the IWC Pilot's Watch ChronographGarmin Vivoactive 4. Have it loaded up with a Pipboy theme and crypto tickers, the fitness tracking is good too I guess
Merged from What Watch Does a Normal Ozbarginer Wear ?
So my old watch after a few years and i buried it in the backyard.
I mourned and now its time to move on which got me thinking about buying a new watch.,
So im thinking what are the watch options out there and what does the average ozbarginer wear.
For me i have a fitbit but i barely use it, i am thinking along the lines of a Gshock because i spend time on site on construction jobs.
but i also want one that i can wear to the office.
i had a browse at the jewellery stores but didnt find anything worthwhile.
So what do you guys wear /if any watch?
What are some cool brands of watches ?
are watches good investments ?
Apple Watch.
Downvoted for answering a question, a lot of insecure Android fanboys on here I guess.
are you surprised? people here still think it's still <2015 when the mainstream androids offered better value than iPhones, any thread that broaches the topic has them leaving their holes to hate on apple, and I say this as someone who has been using android for the majority of the last decade.
Downvoted for answering a question, a lot of insecure Android fanboys on here I guess.
Why does not agreeing with an Apple Watch make one an "Android fanboy"?
FWIW, I personally think it has more to do with OP's original use case:
For me i have a fitbit but i barely use it, i am thinking along the lines of a Gshock because i spend time on site on construction jobs.
I wouldn't recommend an Apple Watch for this particular use case either.
@p1 ama: But OPs use case was merely asking us all what watches we use.
So Hybroid was correct despite the negsâŚ
I bought a Tag Heuer recently. I don't even know how to pronounce Heuer.
Itâs a tricky one, but itâs pronounced âHeuerâ, not âHeuerâ
Neither sound correct to me.

Dashboard clock on a RAV4 with roof racks
I would just get a gshock in black or a similar colour. I have a GA800 and imo it looks and feels smaller than my 46mm galaxy smartwatch I wear to the office everyday.
I find the concept of wearable tech overrated. I do like the fitness aspect….but there too, its not the idea of continuous monitoring that excites me. The ability to track workouts is cool. But I can happily live without one. I think the g-shocks are cool. I currently have an Apple Watch SE. Don't think I'll be replacing it like for like after this one dies.
Wouldn't you miss silent notifications? Your Watch taps your wrist for notifications when it's on. Meaning you and those around you don't have to listen to your phone ring or chime.
In one word…Naa!! My phone is always in silent mode regardless… and I actually don't get too many notifications on the watch,…I find them distracting…
I'm happy to accept that perhaps I'm not using it to its optimum potential.. But I think that in itself unlined my point.
@TubeLight: And I don't wear it while sleeping.
Use your phone for time.
I got this really cool Iron Man watch from AliExpress. The batman one is cool because when it transforms he has no pants.
Xiaomi watch
one that tells the time….
i am thinking along the lines of a Gshock because i spend time on site on construction jobs
You answered your own question!
Try the Garmin Instinct. The 2 series has pay and a heap of stats as well a being a pretty tough watch. Awesome battery and notifications as well.
Adina Country Master
I don't wear a watch. I just ask strangers for the time but they sometimes give me that weird look.
