Friends,beware of slim wall mount..it is more suitable for concrete walls or the gymrock wall with fixed stud locations..in my case with jbhifi..my walls are made with timber stud..so slim wall mount didnot worked (because one side stud was ok but other side stud was away and out of the exact hole needed for slim wall mount..in the end, had to buy another wall mount for $130 because installer was already there and returned the slim mount..so pls sure of stud estimations first.my tv was 75 inches qn800b..
There are ways around this. Just get a piece of wood big enough to secure to the stud locations available. Then secure the tv bracket into the wood that's mounted to the wall.
Done this for a few tv setups, works perfectly.
no point going for the slim mount then, it'll stick out more than expected/designed when you look from the side
if this is your case, go for a standard-style bracket to save the timber bracing
ok mate..I didnot want to take risk for an expensive TV to not mounting it proper and installer was against the idea of using slim mount as well so bought the $130 wall mount from him, otherwise I will have to rebook his appointment and pay the fees as well…but in the end I got a very good deal from Jbhifi so I am happy with the TV and soundbar purchase. They even gave me the gift card for wall mount as well.
