Do you mean Luxottica owns rayban so it would be rip off? what do you mean?
Looks like non-Polarised.
Yeah non-polarised.
Great for car HUDs!
But bad for windscreen reflection.
I bought some knock-off Wayfers and honestly the quality was superior to the original. It even was polarised, and cost about a quarter of its price.
…so yah
How is the UV protection on them?
Username checks out
lol
drop the link holmes
Just as an FYI to all the people's and the neggers, I cannot because it is against the OzBargain TOS.
I've been in the Penalty Box before, will try to stay out of it.
counterfeit products
Mind sharing a link?
Yeah if you could share a link that would be great
@Kangal: U work for alibaba or something?
Oooh share the product with us!
Probably no UV protection
Just share the link.
Must be fake otherwise you would.
Still a rip off. Luxottica constantly sell sunglasses that should only cost $10-20 max for ridiculous prices.
whats a good brand for sunglasses? looking for wayfarer model and oakley running sunglasses
one of the features of some raybans are glass lenses ….cost more than plastic to make, and more scratch resistant than plastic , it’s why mobile phones now have glass screens, also more optically correct …..hence glass lenses used in microscopes, telescopes, cameras, etc…..very few sunglasses hut brands have glass lenses in their range, rayban, persol and maui jim being exceptions …wayfarer with glass lenses are great and come in polarised and non polarised glass …..
for running and cycling …..people end up with plastic lenses due to shape (wrap around) and weight …. i cheap out for running and cycling and just get rock bros off ebay as they come with interchangeable lenses including photochromatic and polarised it’s why i wear when cycling …..under $40 set with photochromatic….also check out safety wear shops as they have uvex wrap around in various tints and sell cheaper than sunglasses shops due to market segment and priced that they might get damaged or lost
lenses due to shape (wrap around)
Which also offer superior protection for your eyes.
Flat lenses like the ones in this deal offer poor eye protection and can potentially be worse than nothing because your pupils dialate to let more light in through the tinted lenses, which then lets in more UV light that comes from behind and reflects into your eye off the back of the lens
What're you on about? A lot if almost all sunglasses hut are plastic lens, I got a fair share of rayban and they scratched like every other $2 sunnies. It all comes down to style and willingness to pay, like natural vs artificial diamond.
@lgacb08: Glass lenses are hard to find at Sunglass Hut but they do exist - RB 3445 for example in Crystal Green after a quick look
Glass has some advantages, scratch resistance being one, however they are less forgiving when dropped
Pretty much all the Ray-Ban lenses are plastic now. I got few, except one they all plastic, even the prescription rayban.
I use these for running. Very happy with the quality and price
https://www.justsunnies.com.au/polasports-sunglasses/enduran…Goodr are the duck's guts for running sunnies, and they're a wayfarer style too. :) No slipping even when you've got sunblock on and as sweaty as a glassblower's arse.
+1
Wait for a sale at Running warehouse or find a % off code.
I got some of these, think they are made for midgets or kids, they are tiny glasses. Cheap plastic frames too, no way near the standard of Ray-Bans
Last I checked, Ray-Ban never been under $100 even before take over by Luxottica and the monopoly claims, which was like 20 years ago.
There is cost price, then the brand name and then been a fashion accessorie.
Cashrewards offer 12% cashback at SGH
I see 5.6% did it go down now… No no no
It was definitely 12% when I looked.
Honestly, if you aren't using knockaround sunnies you are missing out. I switched about 2 years ago after going through so many pairs of Oakley's and never looked back.
They ship from the states but are fairly quick to arrive. The guy who started the company wanted to make sunnies cheap enough to not care too much about but also good enough quality to actually wear day to day.
https://knockaround.com/Why is this written like an ad lol
Because it is
Hey, I'm no bot! Nor do I have an affiliation with knockaround.
They are just great quality sunnies I'm trying to share with the ozbargain community.
Terrible website too. Wants notification access, location access, your messenger details for a coupon…
You can just click no…. And don't use internet Explorer
Kmart has a new range of $10 sunglasses that are actually quite nice
Polarised?
This ^
Bought some decent polarised sunnies from Kmart for $10. Sold my old Oakley. Those
Mostly used them at the snow, hence didn't mind looking like a bogan :-DBahaha I was going to say were you shredding for stereo bro?
ayy hit that muzz, no pecs no secs babeeh
Saved $90 this summer. thanks bro!
What type of knockabouts do you buy? Most are extremely large for a male!
I'll just leave this here.
cant just leave this here and not say more lol. What are the rating of these?
do they fit in with AU standards? https://www.productsafety.gov.au/product-safety-laws/safety-…
ty for share!
Yeah gotta wonder if they offer any UV protection at all
Yeah wouldn't trust it, they'd be rubbish but people buy them just because they have the logo on them.
Wow, DHL to deliver express from DONGGUAN - CHINA MAINLAND. Speechless
What's a good brand for folding aviators?
